funny how that works
We get gamed annually by the oil company's "switch from winter to summer gas" ploy, this is just another opportunity for oil companies to squeeze more money out of drivers of ICE; but the days of ICE will come to an end in the next few decades.
It takes a little while for fuel prices to fall (if any) vendors price the cost to replace the fuel they already purchased - not what is in the tank that given day. If oil goes up, vendors and the end seller knows that the next time they order a tanker, the price will be higher. But who is going to start lowering prices unless the demand drops and there are is not a slew of FuckSticks in line. When the demand drops and oil drops, vendor prices will drop, then stations will be forced to be competitive to move fuel. It's fucked up because Oil is a traded commodity. I doubt we will ever see really cheap anything ever again. Welcome to the Hav and Hav-Not generation. You either have it and don't give a fuck what it costs or you don't have it and and now have a lot less.
demand will probably be dropping
As the price per barrel raise's or falls. It takes three weeks before you see that reflection at the pump.
It's always been that way.

only a few people on this blog have any smarts.

=========================================================
It has always been that way for prices to drop.
Speculation has a immediate impact on gas prices. Gallon of gas went up by $1 per gallon in less than a week here.
I don't care which way you slice this pie, the fact still remains that the State and Federal governments make a bigger profit on a gallon of gas than the oil companies do. Suspending or lowering the taxes would provide the quickest relief at the pump.
May as well get used to high gas prices the Hubbert peak isn't that far off. Oil is a finite resource after all.
When it hits gas prices will soar, food production will drop drastically and life as everyone knows it will cease.
Course that all depends on a new energy source being found between now and then.
Atticus Finch

It's pretty easy to see who on these blogs speak out of emotion with no clue how supply and demand work in spec markets with long supply chains.
Atticus & 1972:
Respect your way, y'all are on the few that understand
I laugh at those who say that remote emissions vehicles (Electric for those dummies) will replace the internal combustion engine.
Perhaps one day.
But that won't happen until you can charge your EV to 600 + miles in 5 to 10 minutes (which is the time it takes me to fill up my 36 gallon tank)
Meanwhile, when certain government critters are asked about the high cost of energy prices their response is to just buy an EV.
Funny how that works. Voter suppression because it's racist to force people to get a $5 voter ID card, but go run out and drop $50k on an EV.
This also fails to address the fact that cargo ships, trucks, cargo trains and planes all don't run on electric.
So as if things aren't bad enough we have the Progressives considering this...
HOUSE PROGRESSIVES ARE PLANNING TO CALL ON BIDEN TO DECLARE CLIMATE CHANGE A NATIONAL EMERGENCY AND TO BAN FOSSIL FUEL DRILLING ON PUBLIC LANDS - POLITICO ARTICLE
These people are truely evil and dont represent normal Americans.
They literally will destroy the US economy and impoverish millions.
But you don’t own, operate or command a cargo ship, cargo ship, or cargo train. So the more fuel is available for them, the less it will cost.
Say it with me….
💡….oooooooh…… 💡

^^^
And I'm sure they will be very generous in passing down the savings to the rest of us.
Oh wait, they wont!
I wonder if these genius's realize that most of the nickel that is in these batteries comes from Russia, China and various African nations whos mines are controlled by China.
^ those geniuses are OWNED by China

We should make it easier for Americans to buy EVs.
Hell make hybrids a thing again. Feel like car manufacturers stopped with hybrids.
Americans live big fucking trucks and SUVs. If you buy one, don’t cry about gas prices.
^^^^^
News flash. Those small hybrids & EV's aren't profitable.
The only reason they exist is because people (like me) buy the big ass cars & trucks that subsidize the small little oops, did I run over your "smart" car cars.
CAFE - look it up retard.
Likewise with direct subsides to buy EV, not profitable for the consumer or the corporate without someone else paying the bill.

====================================
I just said that.
Americans love big cars but bitch and complain about gas prices.
Government needs to create incentives to get more Americans in EVs and hybrids.
Many have taken advantage of the incentives already paid out. But that was low hanging fruit. Need to up the tax credits/government rebates.
Oh …and tax the hell out of truck/SUV sales
OP could be the biggest fucking idiot on the site.
Absolutely clueless about economics or really much of anything
No point even explaining it as he's too emotional and too stupid to understand
Seriously dumb as fuck
As to the notion of peak oil, also dumb
Been disproven many times
Current estimates show over 200 years of supply
All idiots, please stop posting, you embarrass yourselves
"We get gamed annually by the oil company's "switch from winter to summer gas" ploy,"
DTFaggot, typical Progressive, actually turns a government regulation into the fault of the oil companies. How fucking stupid are you? See link for reference to transition of gas blends IS REQUIRED by gov. regs. The reg is there to reduce smog, something a Prog should be OK with.....but fuck no, hysterical brain dead Prog pretends it's those wily oil guys ripping us off.
NEXT!
"Government needs to create incentives to get more Americans in EVs and hybrids."
Oh fuck, this moron again.
There is so much stupid in this one and I still don't have the time to lay it all out.
Exercise your pea brain for a moment and just consider the EV supply chain, resource usage/disposal, electricity supply chain, etc. Once you're done, if ever, you'll realize that you ARE your own worst enemy and will summarily execute yourself.
Thereby relieving this world of the burden that is you................please dont hesitate
Thank you and have a nice day, hopefully your last

Red, go google the acronym CAFE.
Educate yourself.
Then come back and tell us there isn't an incentive to get knuckle daggers like yourself into hybrids and EV.s
Oh, and do yourself a favor, when you read up on it, read with your mouth closed.
You look stupid when you mouth out the words.
"Educate" might as well be a Chinese word to these dolts
OP has been here 3 years and still can't attach a link
So he copy/pastes twice in the wrong place
Pretty much summarizes this turd
They could offer $thousands in incentives to get an EV and I still wont get one.
Just because they don't use oil doesn't mean they are environmentally friendly.
What do you think happens to the majority of expired batteries in devices today?
Feeling the "Spanner-itis" coming on
Get that thirdth post in.
It's killing me, I just gotta know
OP, yes or no answer only
You still driving a tricycle with training wheels?
It would explain a lot
Take it for a spin on the 405 tomorrow
Thx in advance

==================================
I never brought up the environment. That's another argument.
It just weans us off the dependency of oil.
People are willing to bow to dictators so gas will be $1 a gallon cheaper. Its a national security issue from a US government perspective.
