The problem with Ivermectin is that the largest RCT studies, that aren’t as prone to false discovery, all show that Ivermectin was no better than placebo.
It’s not the quantity but quality of studies that counts.
These large studies are the studies that are most likely to pick up even a small effect, due to large sample size, and Ivermectin, unfortunately, just doesn’t cut it.
The vaccines, however, easily stand out in their large RCTs.
The Wall Street Journal, no left-wing source, just broke the news that the latest large RCT of Ivermectin failed to demonstrate a statistically significant effect.
If there were no other choices, I’d say try it, but since there are therapeutics that have demonstrated large effects (monoclonal antibodies, Paxlovid), I say it’s not worth it.

The reason merk does not promote ivermectin is that it is off patent. There is no money in it.
However...both mark and Pfizer have reformulated it and filed new patents..

There's likely little harm, as long as you stay in recommended dose
Effective? Probably not likely but there are anecdotal cases.
I know doctors that will prescribe as part of a package of drugs but agree it's a long shot
Off-prescription usage is done all the time for many many drugs, so that's not a big deal
I doubt most will experience efficacy but there's not much downside
Personally, I prefer bleach IV's

HcQ and Ivermectin both have been observed to have an antiviral effect.
Doesn't mean they are cures means that they can act as an antiviral at times.
The problem someone like me had with the demonization of these LIFE SAVING drugs is that medical pharises with all their piety claimed they were dangerous ..They are not and any moron telling you they are is a ducking liar. As always get your medical advice from a doctor that actually practices medicine....not a Dr. That just manages who gets to governments money.
