You've been on this site for almost 11 years, and you haven't figured out how to PM/DM someone???

Well, you are half way there:
hotfannylvnfool don't need ya because they already have mail privileges!
You need those mail privileges to send a PM (Private Message), which is similar to sending someone an email. To renew your privileges, click on the Mail tab at the top of HX and then Unlock More Mail at the top left. You may need to purchase more FX points if you are out.
Next up is how to PM someone. Next to their blog comment, on their profile page, or when looking at their classifieds, you should see an envelope icon under their profile photo. Click that to create a new PM to that person. You can enter a Subject and Body to your message and if you want to get fancy you can click the links below the message to Attach Link to a webpage or Attach Pics from your, or anyone else's, HX photo albums. When you are ready, click on Send at the bottom.
When they reply, the Mail link at the top of HX will turn red. Click on it to see your inbox. Click on the message to open it. You can then reply to them.
As other kind folks have mentioned, the "PM me 3/21" in the classified just meant that they will be available to meet people that date, March 21st.

To PM when viewing someone’s profile or ad. You tap the yellow envelop in the left side by their photo or name. Then put in subject and type what you want and send.
