A few times and in each case they eventually went south.

I have some that at this point are long term friendships. Why should they go south?
|

Usually has to do with money and being taken advantage of which tends to kill the friendship.
Not saying a lasting friendship is not possible.

Sometimes you just get lucky and meet the right people.
|

I made a very fun friend here. Sadly, she left town, leaving me a bit heartbroken I keep imagining that something like that will happen again, but almost no one that I meet here is emotionally open - most are simply, and flatly, transactional.

I have people in this "environment" that I see repeatedly. Each time we meet the connection grows a little. We share more personal things about our past as well as our future dreams and aspirations. This is a natural flow in the creation of a friendship. It's pretty hard to get to know someone in the first 30 minutes of meeting them, especially when your mind is on something else.

Yes. With the person on the date and her circle of friends.
Back in the day my crew and I would take the ladies to getaway trips across the country.

I've got several that have turned into long term relationship and also professional tax service relationships. No one is going to jail for not filing tax returns, LOL

Several times. Years ago, I swung by the old Mustang Ranch in Reno. The woman I picked and I randomly had acquaintences in common. We ended up dating for about 6 months. I've ended up having platonic or FWB relationships with other women I've met.
One of the reasons I have next to no ratings here is that I usually stick to a favorite or two because we click. No matter how many times I've seen them it doesn't affect ratings.
As others have said, this is a business transaction, but one that deals in hormones and emotions. Sometimes it hits right. Most of the time it doesn't. Knowing the difference is key.

I'd like to, siiiiiiigh. I'm very picky with who I associate in general, but I've met a few women that would make for good friends to do other stuff.

Think it is a fond friendship that can develop. When I see someone that I haven't seen in awhile, I think of them warmly.. Similarly to my professional colleagues that I may not chat with on a regular basis...just better benefits.
And, when I think of some of the ladies on here that i haven't seen in awhile, and see them post up, it reminds me of really how nice they are/were. Very nostalgic.

Over my 16 years here there has been two. I'm not sure in my mind if it was friendship or mutually great sex, we just clicked sexually and really enjoyed eachothers company.
