Sushi studio in Long Beach
|
|
for the true experience you sit at the bar and eat what the chef makes for you.
my personal favorite is yellowtail and tuna belly - sashimi style.
everyone talk about "fresh" - fact is most if not all fish used for sushi goes through the LA downtown fish auction. All fish have been or are frozen. matter fact you should not eat local raw tuna (lets say you are fishing..) - there are parasites but these buggers die upon freezing.
|
|
Sushi is a favorite of ours. Prefer sashimi, rolls typically have to many sauces and/or rice. Uni being an all time favorite.
|

The Sugarfish in Manhattan Beach is at 304 12th St, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266

Hi PK 🤗 checkout Yagi in Anaheim. Owned and operated by Japanese. Nothing wrong with it but many of the sushi restaurants are owned and operated by Chinese and Koreans 😜 You get the authentic experience at Yagi. Nobuyoshi, the owner flies in delicacies like Cherry Salmon from Norway and all kinds of deliciousness from Japan that most restaurants don't carry/offer. Enjoy!

Oooh I love this.
I just tried sushi for the first time and I'm starting to like it.. I hated seafood until I went to Costa Rica and had marlin and loved it. Didn't know that it was fish until I was done and my friend goes "I thought that you hated fish" lmaoo
Realized it's a texture thing as well. Also a smell thing lol

|
|
Hey PK,
Although I haven't been in quite some time, a place called Koi in Seal Beach was memorable with actual Japanese chefs
Also note worthy is Sashimi in Lake Forest.
Tustin and Costa Mesa also have quite a few authentic places....
xoxo
BTW
What did the sushi say to the bee?
Ans: Wasabi?
What do you call it when you make sushi out of a thesaurus?
Ans: A synonym roll.
|
|
If you cant eat sushi........
(You know the rest!)
|

Hello, Pretty Miss Kittty!
It's been such a long time!
How are you?
WOW, you've gained a couple of inches?
Your dynamite figure is now nuclear!
I would love to come renew our friendship,
And bring you some good sashimi!
It's all about the fish and not the sushi rice!

Just spent the better part of the afternoon at Peohe’s in Corona Del Mar with a few Navy buddies.
