I hope this question doesn't offend anyone and stay within the community guidelines; and if it does my apologies in advance I don't have ill will in my heart towards anyone. Have you ever wondered why when cooking spaghetti and your throw it against the the wall it doesn't stick what am I doing wrong?

It's not done I guess, it's sorta a gross way of testing if it's done or not.

I just soak it in cold water for a little over an hour, very yummy that way, just add warm sauce.

Great for cold pasta salad dishes

The cooking time for all pastas are not the same. Spaghetti noodles from different pasta makers may have different recommended cooking times. The size of your pot, and the level of your water affects cooking times too.

Angel Hair, Linguine, Thin Spaghetti, Spaghettini, Fettuccine, Rotini, Ziti, Penne, Elbow, Large Shells, Small Shells, Lasagna, pastas of every size shape and thickness can have different boiling times.

Good luck, and read the recommended cooking times. Have a dish of cool water to check the doneness of your pasta. You can always cook pasta longer, once it's mushy, there's not much you can do about that.

Miss Lusin_Jan7,

I enjoy cooking what I like to eat.
But I'm not very good at cooking.
Just have a few really good dishes.

Pasta should be cooked al dente.
Drained then added back into the pot. Light to medium heat, add parmigiana and a little sauce.
Stir 1-2 mins

I'm always a little sad when the grumpy butt head is the only one that understands. He's like really old people.

You should be testing it in your mouth, unless you're making it for your wall.

Don’t use Italian sausage. It krinkles and dried up and takes wall paint with it.
