Yeah, I love e-cash. That way the government can tax every single penny, and track every single penny you spend to see what you buy -- do you buy too much booze? To to the weed store? Buy too much fast food? Maybe you spend money on HX or elsewhere...maybe you buy guns and ammo...they already track that through credit cards now and most prudent gun owners make their purchases with cash.
No thanks, cash is freedom. Just wait for the day when their little e-money system crashes or gets a virus and you can't buy food...see how you like it then.

yellow...
Yes, there is a 'trail' of all your purchases and expenses and the government, with a demand to your credit card company, get all the records they want.
Of course, paying cash for anything these days can be an 'experience' The educational system of ours has certainly NOT taught counting money.....far too many cashiers are like 'deer in the headlights' when you give cash. Making change is a totally new experience....

you are tracked regardless of whether you carry cash. The smart phone we carry tracks you constantly. I was trying to find out in a diplomatic way without being obvious and getting the post scrapped to ask hey which ladies like the cash apps.

I know I pay for gas with cash

Ohhh JayPee.......JayPee, just cuz you were there doesn't mean money was exchanged. Silly boi.

I don't use any digital payment systems, but I do use credit cards almost exclusively rather than cash. The benefit makes sense, at least for me.. I get cash back, purchase protection, fraud protection, and so on. I understand very well how the data is used as I was in that industry once.
I have a buddy that owns several retail businesses. He tested credit card only (including Apple and Google Pay) in one store and his business didn't suffer a bit. The big bonus is that he eliminated all kinds of cash management issues, like employee theft, bank drops, potential for robbery, etc. He's rolling out the approach to the rest of his storefronts.
As far as HX though, it's always cash, including for the ol' Home Depot gift cards to buy FX points.

Gotta agree with FlappyNutSack; I used to pay cash everywhere, but modern credit card readers are fast and accurate. And I don't have to tell the cashier how to make change. Always tip in cash though.

I'm fine with credit cards .
You even get the itemized charges for the cards in an online account or sent by mail. It works great and its between me and the credit company.
What I have a huge problem with is when the Govt decides to get into the concept of Social Credit score and also let that score intermingle with my ability to function in the free market.
There is just too many problems with that.
Only the mindless obedient drones will be able to function in that Society.

There’s a difference between being tracked by your cell phone and having every bit of currency known by the government they might be able to know where you are with your cell phone but they don’t know that you’re paying the girl from HX in cash do that?

If you don't use it, cash, you will lose it.
If they really want us to use e payment at the pump they would charge 10 cents Less per gallon, not 10 cents more.
Does anyone not understand the hypocrisy in that
Lazy will pay for convenience. Well just think about what that 3 or 4 hundred could buy at the end of year. Go ahead, treat yourself. I am...

@JR , It works great and its between me and the credit company.
I would have thought you'd know better than that. LE can find out anything these days.
There is a reason an SSN is really called, a Social Slave Tracking Number. Which all Banking and Credit institutions use.
Even if one withdrawals the exact amount for, well we know. LE can figure it out.

Remember folks, Cash is King.

I want to build my credit above 700
What are some good credit card companies?? Especially the ones with flight points ?

Let's say that you run into a rare find and you could buy it at a steal of a price. That's when it's good to have that sweaty wad of cash ready, so you can pounce on the deal.
As it was already said, "Cash Is King"

Lots of girls myself included prefer not to take epayment because asshats reverse them once the blood rushes back to the correct head. Cash is definitely king.

Cash and bakery treats. 😘

You know it 😍 lol

Of course cash is king for nefarious activity.
Not that any one around here is involved in that... myself included.

pay as much as i can with CC - to get cash back and fraud protection (never pay with debit card).
but always carry cash for emergency use.
rarely use E payments options.

Cash Only...

Credit score is such a scam.
Pay off an account? it goes down.
Get an inquiry? goes down.
Got over 40% of your credit leveraged? 50/50
Random credit line increase? goes up.
Close an account? goes down.
I always have a bit of cash on me at all times. Never know when you might find yourself somewhere they dont take CC's (yes they still exist)

I like to believe it’s how you run things
I take both e cash and cash
Now with e cash how are they to know exactly what you’re paying for? They do not. Everything should be “gifted” or if it’s a service it should be under a service (help moving, housekeeping, or modeling) I don’t know about reverse charges as I only use this site to give the option for e cash because the safety system is taken more serious
Also ladies, keep a water mark pen and cash checker for fake bills, I was a cashier for 5 years, it comes in handy
As far as improving credit, if you have open accounts get them removed at night during the weekend
I personally don’t like credit cards, but if you have something like a car loan and you are paying on time or split your payments for twice a month that will boost your credit. Just don’t be late, even then communicate with your loan provider because they don’t want to report you and most often will give you a chance to resolve your payment.
I got lucky when my school loans were dropped, my credit score went up

June Moon:
There are many sites that post the best credit cards each month like Nerdwallet
Everyone has a different agenda for credit cards, some want airline miles, balance transfers, some want cash back or 0% APR.....etc.
check out the link I posted below to see what's good for April

I'm a little bit old school in relation to my money as I normally carry cash. Recently when I went to a rock concert I was shocked when they would not accept my money. My friend was with me and he bought the T shirts that I wanted on his card and I just handed him the cash. I'm not always comfortable using a card as where I live there so much Problems with employees trying to charge your cards for something that they can get on your card. The one thing I know is if I do get an unsolicited charge that my bank will reimburse me but I hate going through that process. I sometimes keep a prepaid credi record and I put cash on it just so I could use it when I do not want people to have the opportunity to steal from me.

I do

I still carry cash. The grid doesn't need to be aware of single fucking transaction I make.
|

I carry much gold. Everyone takes much gold

FYI - if you are planning on paying a provider any other way besides cash PLEASE discuss it before to ensure she accepts your payment method
I have had to ask a few guys to leave to go find an ATM or cancel the appointment because our payment methods are not compatible

Y’all should take Zelle or Venmo.

Cash is King

PK speaks true words.

I always carry cash.
Use it for lots of everyday stuff. And HX (duh)
My SO and I have been known to NOT patronize "card only" establishments, even if we'd probably use a card. We resent the lack of choice.

Remember when Jerry Springer paid for a date with a check? E payments are that level of dumb.

wait, what?!

CBDC are directly controlled by the Federal reserve. They will allow the government to APPROVE what you can purchase and WHEN and WHERE it can be purchased.
It is the reinstitutuon of slavery.
This is why we have Bitcoin. It is the safest path to oppose the level of control that is being rolled out.
I worry for people like the OP and the impact they have on human freedom.

If you are going to play here you better realize
That cash is King. And it’s usually not traceable.
