Yes, our current world has a lack of optimism, hope. I believe these elements really drag down charity, love, decency, patience, caring. It appears to me that hiding away either materially or mentally is the currency of the realm today.

In my opinion - It's not one side or the other it's combination of both. Use to be that we could speak the words we wanted to without fear. Go to whatever church we wanted to without fear. And pretty much live life how we felt we needed to without fear.

When I grew up we were taught and told "you don't see a person color". You see the character, now kids are taught to see color?? You keep changing the rules and yes you get what we have now. People running their mouths, feet and anything else they can to get their way no matter what the outcome.
My daughter is a dam good water polo player but with them letting boys on the girls team she will not play. Not because I am scared a boy may touch her (she will kick his ass) but I am afraid she may get hurt. Muscle composition in boys is different from that of girls.
We the a congressional hearing about what happened on January 6th (yes it was horrible) but nothing is said or done about the damages done during the occupying of Portland or Seattle and they attempted to burn a Federal Building! Why?
Again, in my opinion, we need to start with each other and hope fully it will trickle up to the people in charge.

I can agree that it's a cycle and we're in a terrible spot at the moment. I really hope it switches back, but the Internet taking over has added a new dimension to communication and peoples' anonymity allows them to bring out their worst. Idk if it can simply "go back to being happy/peaceful".
