That joke was hilarious and true.
I can’t stand My Way Or The Highway people and it’s getting worse due to Social Media and Smartphones unleashing Narcissism at an alarming rate.
It’s getting so much worse that it’s becoming My Way Or The Die Way.

I don't do tiktoc however. It's a joke, until it happens to you.

Well not sure of the whole context in this video...
Is this a religious man presenting a religious joke to religious people?... if so he may be using humor to point out divisiveness among people of faith. We dont see his whole point presented.
Or is it an atheist attacking people of faith.
Setting humor aside let's look at real events...
We live in what used to be called a free country founded on religious freedom.
Unfortunately we now have Govt declaring parents as terrorists for voicing opinions at school boards and church leaders being invaded by the FBI because they protest an LGBTQ event.
All while Govt and the media is forcing us to accept and conform to radical LGBTQ ideology and that men can on a whim start using women's bathrooms and compete in women's sports.
Sorry... that shit does not, will not fly.
Religious people are not the problem here.

^ In my opinion, it really doesn't matter the context or the audience, the substance was merely pointing out how ridiculous our cliquish nature can be.

Old joke. Heard this one back in 2005. Taken in today's context, it's not that funny. What your blog does point out is that in the length of a decade, plus or minus, our society has turned into a woke, false #metoo accusations, fake news, left vs right, anti-2a, anti-abortion, pro-abortion, socio-economic-driven Andy Warhol mess. Don't get me wrong. All of these, plus ones not listed, have been the fabric of what makes up our society both here and abroad. What is messed up is how the basics of these movements have been twisted to align with someone's misguided narrative. Twisted.
Your post is to this point. In 2005 this joke was used by many comedians and even several noted theologians. It was funny. Fast forward to 2023 and now it's not funny, it's conceived as divisive. Our society is changing its moral, political, and attitudes based on, well on what?
Sidebar to that joke: A priest, a rabbi and a minister walk into a bar....

I identify as “non binary” as in i believe it’s never black and white, whatever the issue. The devil’s always in the details and a sense of humor and some humility are necessary to reach common sense (uncommon I know) solutions.

Society has been migrating from tolerance to intolerance to blatant discrimination. The internet has facilitated micro pockets of beliefs, opinions, into the public spot light, giving it a foothold.
A foothold broadcast over the world gets mainstream attention, funding and political power.
Problems arise when beliefs and strong opinions get traction but, but not enough to become a majority. The current solution, is to destroy ( by any means necessary ) any competing opinion, belief or government that stands in their way. In this current environment, you are subject to the MWOTH on a daily bases, unfortunately. JMHO

Not seeing the humor. What I do see is a faulty argument. It assumes that all 1000 outcomes are equally likely and that a random selection process is appropriate. That assumption has not been established. Truth is not determined by a random process of selection. If God exists and is the true God, the probability of that being the case is 100% and the probabilities of any of the others being so is 0%. If God does not exist, that does not affect the existence or non-existence of any of the others.
If his question were something like, "If you put all 1000 names in a very large hat, and randomly drew one out, what are the odds you would choose God (or, the Christian God)?", then it might have made more sense.
Btw: TikTok is a pestilence on civilization.

^ “If god exists and is the true god” is a pretty big if. I could say if the Flying Spaghetti Monster exists and is the true god, that would be an equally valid statement.

This is an Emo Philips joke. I love Emo Philips. Weird delivery but hilarious one-liners. I have a feeling his fan base leans liberal because ironically, the other side will call him "woke" for being too intelligent. This thread wasn't necessarily political to boot, but read all the comments lol. Everyone is woke this and woke that, mindlessly spewing hatred by marginalizing everything they vaguely don't agree with -- but don't understand it enough to actually articulate it like an adult -- with this word "woke", while accusing the other side of being hateful. That's just the world.
So yeah, blame liberals for being divisive while being completely lost on who told the joke.

" If God exists and is the true God, the probability of that being the case is 100% and the probabilities of any of the others being so is 0%. If God does not exist, that does not affect the existence or non-existence of any of the others. "
I assume you're arguing Pascal's wager while *ironically* accusing Emo of assuming the probabilities are the same. You probably think the probability of God existing and not existing is about the same, so therefore if he exists, he 100% exists, but if he doesn't exist, the existence of some God is still non-negative. So in your view it is more likely that some God exists than not, yes? However, you must see that contradicts your entire premise.

I'm not one to believe that only one God can exist. With so many religions I'm sure there are a variety of metrics developed by worshipers to determine what they expect of a God worthy of their worship.
This allows more flexibility and coexistence in a world full of opinions. People will allow what ever they want to manifest in their heart and mind. It can be good or bad.
I like to think of God as light. Just because something or someone is dark doesn't mean God doesn't exist. They have to let the light shine in to see the light.
Some great quotes by Albert Einstein...
Whatever there is of God and goodness in the universe, it must work itself out and express itself through us. We cannot stand aside and let God do it.
My God may not be your idea of God, but one thing I know of my God — he makes me a humanitarian. I am a proud Jew because we gave the world the Bible and the story of Joseph.

A man dies and goes to Heaven. After several years in Heaven, he gets bored and decides to go on vacation to see Hell.
So he packs his bags and goes on the trip. Upon arrival in Hell, he's taken on a tour. It's the most amazing place he's ever seen: warm, but not hot, the women are beautiful, everyone's very friendly and even Satan himself stops by his hotel room just to say hello.
When the guy comes home to Heaven, he decides to move to Hell, because how amazing it it. So he packs his bags again, and books a one way ticket to 9th circle.
But upon arrival, he's stripped naked and thrown into a searing hot pit of lava. As he sinks, he notices Satan walking by and yells out "What the Hell?! Last time I was here, it was all women and nice people. What happened?" Satan looks back at him and, recognizing the man, laughs and answers:
"Don't mistake Tourism for Immigration!"
