This is random but did you know that if you get a gift card and it expires you can still use it? The card itself is what expires but NOT the funds! So if you still have money on the card or forgot to use it before it expires you can call the 800 number on the back and they'll issue you another. Don't throw them away!

Also California has laws that state gift cards and certificates can't have an expiration date but idk

I'm sure this applies to those prepaid vanilla gift cards as well

Gift cards cannot expire for 3 years at least if they were given by a company or entity, if you buy a gift card or someone buys it for you it will never expire , Vouchers can expire in 30 days, but once the 3 year mark passes you cannot get funds out of the gift card. You can always call the gift card company and see if they make an exception.
