Stories are typically not reported in a vacuum. I typically get much of my information from a political feed via Reddit. I’ll then Google an interesting story to see if the reporting is consistent across multiple sources. If a story is relevant to a topic, I’ll then pick a source from many simply to give the reader an option to read more about the story.
I don’t start off with a theory in my own head, then I try to find a source that simply supports my theory. And confirmation bias usually relates to clinical trials or studies, not in supporting one’s position on issues.
As usual, your assumptions are wrong because you don’t connect the dots well.

sherkahn, the FBI and the prosecution accidentally gave the defense the wrong excel sheet in one court case. It had a tab that was hidden but not deleted. It is entered into evidence.
It showed that the Jan 6th cases prosecutions were fabricating evidence, destroying evidence, withholding exculpatory evidence in communications between the prosecution and the FBI.
Really, I beg you to step back from politics and consider if this is what you want. It might be driven by revenge and hate or something, but it is not justice.

people who were caught on video as instigators were not arrested,
