Another reasonable conclusion would be that Democrats do not commit egregious crimes at the same level as Republicans.
I found a list of politicians who are convicted predators from 2016 that listed around 240 Republicans to 14 Democrats.
The Parties are not equivalent in terms of ethics, so convictions are not going to be equal as well.
And we all know that Trump is a much more prolific criminal that the two indictments suggest. There could be many more prosecutions beyond the two expected to be filed. From presidential gifts that he kept, to sharpegate (Hurricane Dorian fiasco; altering a weather map is illegal), to his largely irresponsible Covid response, etc.
Trump is toast and he deserves it.

Ask yourself. Trump has been out of office 2 1/2 years. It doesn't take 2 1/2 years to bring charges...but as the election nears, the facts are that Trump wins every day of the week and twice on Sunday! So they are going after him now.

The problem as I see it is the "hung jury" scenario. It will be hard to find 12 jurors that will evaluate all of the evidence as presented (in court, not in the media, and especially not on HX) and make an unbiased decision as to guilt or innocence. All it takes is one ardent Trump supporter to hold out for acquittal and he will not be found guilty. That does not mean he was totally innocent either. And DJT will be quick to use the term "exonerated" which is absolute bullshit.
Safe to say, it will be a convoluted mess. Even if he is found guilty of a felony I really don't think he will serve prison time, it is just too difficult to incarcerate a former president for anything short of murder.
Best result - he takes a plea deal that wipes all legal action (state and federal) away in exchange for him going quietly into the sunset (but even that is a fat chance).
And BTW - you can bet that every judge, state and federal, will not allow any discourse of "HRC and Biden got away with the same thing!" because even if they did, it has nothing to do with criminal acts committed by DJT. And in each case, the intricacies of the alleged crimes are so complicated that they cannot be effectively compared side by side.
DJT is going to have to answer for his own misdeeds. Whether he is convicted or not, and whether he serves any real time for it is anyone's guess at this point. Too many variable still out there. Too many potential flies in the ointment. Only time will tell.

I think the point is that Trump is indefensible. So rather than attempt to defend him, which you can't if you've read the indictment, you attack the accusers or people who make you look bad.
The same way Trump is now attacking Jack Smith.
The same way Republicans attack Democrats.
Republicanism is dying and will soon be dead. It's ok if you you don't understand the writing on the wall, it's still coming. Change is good for people on the right side of social issues. It's bad for the closed-minded and the oppressors who are continually losing power.
