So ai can figure out how ppl can continuously spend
|
|
If machines eventually replace the work once done by humans, then it will up to the
education system to provide direction and meaning for those who don't have to spend
a lot of time working. I believe humans will still have to do some type of work, but
the concept of work will change.
This may be similar to people who are independently wealthy and don't have to spend
their time "working." They usually spend their time pursuing things that interest them.

Capital has been replacing people since the Industrial Revolution
How many back-breaking toters lost their jobs when the wheel and the cart was invented, for fuck's sake.
These fucking idiots have to realize that population growth is dropping fast and will go in reverse before the end of this century. In fact, the US will be short 6 million adults even though our immigration (legal and illegal) remains high and the primary source of more people now.
Why do you think unemployment remains low after baby boomers are retiring in droves?
Not enough bodies to replace them.
Simple fucking math, we'll need the "productivity" kicker of AI and other inventions just to keep the machine rolling.

Does this mean I will have to switch to robopie. That means no more clap for me.

And should they reach there population goal of 500 million...

To further Balls go Deep comment
There are only about 3 dozen countries that have a population growth rate above break even (of about 2.1 %)
https://www.cia.gov/the-world-factbook/field/population-growth-rate/country-comparison/
Most of those 3 dozen are in shit countries (including Venezuela, which was once the 4th richest per capita income country)
The developed world, or at least those that are above mere sustenance economies might benefit from AI.
Creative Destruction.
