Not a Trump fan but this indictment is ridiculous. He has a first amendment right to claim election fraud, even if untrue. And he has the right to pursue it He has the right to challenge electors just like Hillary did after her loss to Trump He was not charged with inciting a riot on Jan 6. His legal advisors told him Pence may have the right the challenge the electoral count.
I do not t know the details of the indictment but this attack on free speech rights may help him. It certainly looks on the face of it that the government thru the FBI and Justice Dept are simply trying to prevent Trump from being elected . Banana Republic??

Does Trump have the right ti incite a riot, or does that fall under the free speech act.
And if the DOJ and FBI are trying to keep him from getting elected, is there a slight chance they have a reason why?
Just asking. Mainly for a friend, cuz I could give 2 fux why.

He was not charged with inviting a riot . They did not have enough for intent etc so they came up with what seem like weak charges That is my understanding anyway.

+1 Don

It's an indictment on free speech, never mind who he is, cause you all are next. If you don't take a stand, not only are you a Coward you have no place in this country.

Step out of line and they'll come take you away.

This is why the First was written, to protect us from the heavy handed federal gov.

I'm to the point of moving on the the second before the Communists completely take over and you can Kiss off your freedoms forever.

Clearly an over reach.

"Inciting" a riot may be difficult to prove because they have to identify and prove the nexus.

"Conspiracy" on the other hand only requires that 2 or more people form an agreement to do something illegal, and they can even do it behind closed doors. When there are several people under indictment it only takes one to roll over and tell the truth and start the domino effect.

And, or course, there is the old standby, "Lying to federal investigators." Remember Martha Stewart? She didn't go to prison for insider trading, which was what the original investigation was all about - she went to prison for lying to federal investigators; a really easy thing to do!

That is my understanding anyway.

Yeah, but only because you have not read it. It is only 45 pages skippy, you can handle it. Especially considering it is a speaking indictment. Even a child could get through it, or in this case a man child.

First Amendment is not a defense against any conspiracy charge. Never has been. Never will be.

They dont have for anything close to inciting a riot because he didn't. In fact his easily audible language was "to peacefully and patrioticly make your voices heard"

That is 99 Million light years removed from inciting a riot, 25 people killed, stores burned and looted, $2B in damages like the 2020 Summer of Luv.

But the DOJ and FBI must plod on and cover for Biden.

Oh speaking of which...

Yesterday's testimony by Devon Archer states that the Big Guy is Joe and he had attended dinners and at least 20 phone calls with Hunter's foreign business partners. Joe was 'the brand' and Hunter was the shit for brains son.

Joe is intimately connected to the corrupt influence peddling scheme.

But yeah.. Orange man bad.

I have no fucks to give about FDT and he can run from a prison cell
I won't vote for him, not that my vote matters here in the Peoples Republic of Californication

But before the Dems here get too revved up
Here's a sample of their utter hypocrisy
AND, this is from the NY Times........so try not to shit your pants

"Few objections were filed in accordance with the Electoral Count Act in the 20th century. But starting with George W. Bush’s victory in the 2000 presidential election, Democrats contested election results after every Republican win.

In January 2001, Representative Alcee Hastings of Florida objected to counting his state’s electoral votes because of “overwhelming evidence of official misconduct, deliberate fraud, and an attempt to suppress voter turnout.” Representative Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas referred to the “millions of Americans who have been disenfranchised by Florida’s inaccurate vote count.” Representative Maxine Waters of California characterized Florida’s electoral votes as “fraudulent.”

"In January 2005, in the wake of Mr. Bush’s re-election, Democrats were more aggressive. Senator Barbara Boxer of California joined Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Ohio to lodge a formal objection to Ohio’s electoral votes. The objection compelled Congress to spend two hours in debate, even though Mr. Bush won Ohio by more than 118,000 votes."

"Representative Barbara Lee of California claimed that “the Democratic process was thwarted.” Representative Jerrold Nadler of New York said that the right to vote was “stolen.” Ms. Waters objected too, dedicating her objection to the documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, whose 2004 movie “Fahrenheit 9/11” painted a dark (and at times factually debatable) picture of the Bush presidency."

"The motion failed, but not before 31 members of the House, and Ms. Boxer in the Senate, voted to reject Ohio’s electoral votes — effectively voting to disenfranchise the people of Ohio in the Electoral College.

In January 2017, after Donald Trump’s victory, Democrats in Congress once again challenged the election outcome. Representative Jim McGovern of Massachusetts cited “the confirmed and illegal activities engaged by the government of Russia.” Ms. Lee of California argued that Michigan’s electoral votes should be thrown out because “people are horrified by the overwhelming evidence of Russian interference in our elections.” She also cited “the malfunction of 87 voting machines.”

Dems = Reps
There is almost no difference

There is no First Amendment right to lie in the furtherance of a crime.

Trump knew he lost and admitted it, but said the opposite in public.

Trump and his conspirators concocted a scheme to submit fake electors, if Pence played along, to overturn the results of the election which would have defrauded voters from the true winner: Biden.

This case is extremely strong against Trump.

Dude... you mix it up with a 50/50 mix of lying a stupidity all the time but we have clear interpretation of free speech. We dont get to ban you speech because you lie or are just stupid.

"Trump knew he lost and admitted it, but said the opposite in public."

Boy Jack Smith will have his hands full proving this. Now Trump has discovery and can bring in witnesses related to the fraud and evidence. This is the exact shit none of the judges would let happen.

Also...

There are 6 unnamed (but thinly veiled) coconspirators, which include Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, and Sidney Powell.

They weren't indicted [yet] to speed up the case and to give them an opportunity to flip on Trump.

@Ego

I'm sure you don't know that all of the Hunter Biden hearings have not uncovered any evidence that ties Joe Biden to Hunter's business dealings despite what Republican politicians are saying on conservative media.

Hunter Biden's former business partner Devon Archer testified yesterday that Joe Biden was on around 20 calls (over 10 years) with Hunter's business associates, but, according to Archer (who was supposed to be the Republican's star witness), no business was ever discussed on any of those calls. They were merely cordial. Of course Joe was being used as "strength by association" by being on those calls, but there was no evidence that Joe was involved in any of Hunter's deals.

Of course Republicans are spinning it differently, so now Democrats are demanding that the transcripts from Archer's closed-door testimony be publicly released. Not good for Republicans.

Given all that, if Joe actually did do something illegal, he should also suffer the consequences. No one should be given a free pass.

But with Trump, even the dumbest of you know that he's a criminal, yet you defend him like he's a family member. It's disturbing to read what some of you write.

I've texted and spoken by phone with a few hardcore Republicans from this site. Privately, you're actually really good people who I really like, but in these blogs, you turn into different human beings who profess things that no one can reasonably believe. I don't get it.

Tramps latest from the lying sack of shit grifter.

Conspiracy to defraud the United States applies to Trump's repeated and widespread efforts to spread false claims about the November 2020 election while knowing they were not true and for allegedly attempting to illegally discount legitimate votes all with the goal of overturning the 2020 election, prosecutors claim in the indictment.
Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding was brought due to the alleged organized planning of Trump and his allies to disrupt the electoral vote's certification in January 2021.
Obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding is tied to Trump and his co-defendants' actual efforts after the November 2020 election until Jan. 7, 2021, to block the official certification proceeding in Congress.
Conspiracy against rights is a Civil War-era law that applies to Trump and his co-conspirators' alleged attempts to "oppress, threaten and intimidate" people in their right to vote in an election.

Given a mountain of evidence from multiple indictments the head up their asses repubnazis still worship the tramp. Face it, if tramp is your candidate you will lose. Chris Christie is the only person who could beat Biden in the general.

See, that count 4 “death penalty” jump in logic is toxic and dangerous and flawed on so many levels.

It’s why Trumptards are the most dangerous people to the US Nation, and most of the free world, and why I believe in neutering without pain medication, so they don’t breed.

Speaking of, more of Hutchinson crushing her heel into the Don’s balls.

“ She testified publicly in June — this time accompanied by a new lawyer — and in one of the more dramatic moments of the committee’s hearings. She said she had been told that Trump had actually tried to lunge at the agent driving the SUV that took him back to the White House on Jan. 6.”

Seriously, attack Secret Service on January 6th, in the presence of others? A highly trained and armed security person?

And was told by Trump lawyers say she could not remember it?

He is so fucked…. Rock on those heels, Cassidy. Grind the balls.

“ Trump is not going to jail anytime soon. His case is weak, just as the previous cases”

@Dr.Boogie

He’s not going to jail anytime soon because these cases will take time to prosecute, however they may try to fast-track this case because the American public should know the evidence they have against him in case he is the Republican nominee for President. Wouldn’t you want to make an informed decision before voting?

And this case, as well as the documents case, are not weak cases. He will be convicted in both cases if they don’t strike a deal first.

It took 2.5 years to bring this case because they have so much evidenced that needed to be vetted and organized, and to make sure they had a strong case prior to charging a former President.

I’m sure they could get a conviction on both cases if they had a tenth of the evidence that they have against Trump. He’s literally admitted to committing these crimes over and over again via Truth Social.

The only way he gets off is if he dies first. Then he can be sipping margaritas with his bud Epstein who also faked his own death in order to avoid paying for his crimes.

How’s that for a future conspiracy theory? 😉

I guess we should be arresting all those Dems named in the NY Times article
Kind of reminds me of Schiff
Lying to CNN, then begging off when put under oath
He knew all along that Russian "Collision" was utter bullshit
Now, you can have him as your Senator
Win Win

The Biden DOJ doesn't even try to appear neutral
If FDT deserves an indictment and special counsel
When is Hunter getting his???

Bottom line is that Merrick Garland is running out the clock so all the Hunter charges get timed out
Pretty simple math and the reason why there's been no indictment, cause that stops the statute of limitations clock.

I really don't give a shit if FDT goes to jail
But they really should sweep up ALL the scumbags at the same time

March 17 2023: Hunter openly admits the laptop is his.

March 18, 2023: Trump informed by Alvin Bragg's office he will be indicted for some manufactured bull shit which is going nowhere.

June 8, 2023: An FBI doc leaks and we find out that Ukraine paid Joe a $5M bribe.

June 9, 2023: Biden DOJ decides to indict Trump on the Mar a Lago documents issue which is completely unrelated to criminal plus precedent is in Trumps favor from the Clinton sock drawer case.

July 31, 2023: A Biden insider testified that Biden bribed the Ukraine President Poroshenko to fire Shokin who was investigating Hunter's dumb ass.

August 1, 2023: Jack Smith decides he will indict Trump on Jan 6th charges. Like we dont already know enough about how Jan 6th was a BS Fed entrapment racket.

Whenever Biden has heat on him the DOJ floggs the Trump Voodoo doll.

The DOJ credo should just read 'Biden 2024'

“The People are of supreme importance. The altars of soil and grain come next. Last comes the ruler.”

Mencius – 300BC

1. A new president makes changes to the government and other systems, including education, to make society run better.

2. Everything works better under the new president for a while.

3. The government becomes corrupt, normally by money and power.

4. Commoners lose faith in the government.

5. Commoners become tired of all the problems and the president loses popularity.

6. The president loses his mandates. No one trusts him anymore.

7. The president is defeated in the next election and a new one takes his place.

"August 1, 2023: Jack Smith decides he will indict Trump on Jan 6th charges."

Jackrabbittt is funny..... So Jack Smith just decides to indict?

The fact that the Grand Jury, after hearing sworn testimony from people close to trump recommended indictment means nothing.... Jack Smith just decided to indict...
