So this case puts Trump most at risk since he won’t be able to pardon himself if he becomes President for a conviction in this state case.
This is the most dangerous case in preventing Trump from evading a conviction.

Georgia pardons work differently than almost any other state and the federal government. The Governor does not have the pardon power. That power is given to an independent group of folks. And a pardon can only be granted after time is served.
In other words, if Trump et al are convicted, they’re all doing time in the clink and no one can do anything about it for at least 5 years.

It will take years before these cases are finalized.

It seems strange that an official in Georgia can bring election charges. Thought the province for elections rules was in the hands of the state legislatures. From what I�ve seen from the Ga indictments that even speech and tweets are in furtherance of the conspiracy. Whatever you think of Trump this is problematic under the first amendment.

I partially agree. I mean the states are in charge of elections, including national elections. So that’s fair. But I was surprised at how many charges had to do with filing lawsuits and doing things that seem to be along legal grounds. But this creating fake electors in seven states at the same time is very troubling.
But I think this is typical Trump. I think he got bad advice from his legal team that he just jumped on like a lifeline and ran with. The idea of a RICO case is that the person at the top is pulling the strings. But here his minions are the ones that had the legal expertise and found these obscure presidents that they blew out of proportion to perpetrate a fraud.
