Laughter in Florida
Ok. It's 1 am, Sunday. Tonight the hurricane will have turned into a tropical storm right around the time the eye hits the OC. I read some more interesting info see link.
Just like covid... All hype.
Not sure what to expect . But same thing , just hanging out and waiting
In Southern California, this just means more traffic and bad drivers
Protect the plants, monitor the property weather station and enjoy.
Wonder why people in my area panic shopped and bought all the cases of water.
The worst is supposed to hit around 3pm.
I want to see how the wind pans out but the rain at least where I am won't be an issue.
Nothing crazy so far overhyped storm
Be safe out there.

The hurricane eye is south of San Quentin Mexico .
Hilary weakened from a Category 1 hurricane into a tropical storm Sunday morning, but is still expected to slam into Southern California – a rare threat for the region that forced the evacuations of residents and the closures of parks and beaches ahead of potential flooding, fierce winds and heavy downpours.
Hilary has maximum sustained winds of 70 miles per hour as it barrels north-northwest at a speed of around 25 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center. It was about 220 miles south-southeast of San Diego as of about 7:45 a.m. local time Sunday

Some rain and Not even any wind so far!
The last boat launched to recover evacuees from Catalina just left from Long Beach.
No more boat rides til the storm passes.

Flooding in north east San Diego.

Cooler temperatures and a little light rain to wash the dirt off of everything...
A welcome relief from the hot summer days and nights of August!
Everyone who went to the grocery stores and bought out all of the bottled water -- YOU'RE FUCKING IDIOTS!

California Storms vs Florida Storms
I own houses in both states. Here’s the difference. My house on the Florida west coast is very similar to my house in SoCal. It is very rare we get a direct hit by a tropical storm and I think the last Hurricane that hit Tampa was in 1921. It was reported as a level 3. Since then, we probably got remnants of a hurricane a few years ago. No big deal there.
My other Florida home is in the West Palm Beach area. Someone mentioned a 25 inch rainstorm in Ft Lauderdale FL. That was in June 2022. I was there at the airport trying to get out of town. Thinking I caught the last flight out.
California is unique when storms hit. We have debris flows, mudslides, and burn scars that create flooding risks even with a 2 inch rainfall. We have mountains and valleys that are prone to hazards.
Florida is flat like a pancake with forests and fauna that naturally absorb rainfall. SoCal is a desert transformed by technology into an artificial environment where humans can live comfortably when conditions are normal.
The sad thing is you probably won’t read about the thousands of homeless people who live under the bridges and waterways along the San Gabriel and Los Angeles concrete riverways. Their safety has been delegated to the LA County Parks and Recreation according to Mayor Bass in her press conference at 16:00 20 August 2023.

I suggest you turn off your newsfeed and TV news as those broadcasts are click bait. They've all been wrong about this.
For what is really going on check out KFI640 on IHeart radio with Steve Gregory and Tim Conway Jr. now. 16:30 20 Aug 2023

just like her Presidential run
alot of hype but really no substance
Finally have 25 knots+ steady wind in OC
Yeah shits picking up lol
That was a heavy burst. Had a waterfall on all sides of my home while grilling dinner.
Tornado warning for the Alpine region.
Street of Palm Springs are flooded.
anybody feel the earthquake ??
grooviefan , not just earthquake but there's been over a dozen aftershocks.
It seems to have really weakened by the time it hit the OC.
This “storm” is more boring than a shitcan blog. I’m going to bed
Shitcan acting like the world is ending 😂
Wind has dropped off to 15 knots for past 20 minutes.
About 2 1/2 hours of excitement...
It's all Trumps fault for colluding with the weather forecasters.
Another non event in CA. And, this is not climate change..
Angler1 of course is climate change! Just the last few years should tell you what we’ve been going through is unbelievably strange. Summer of 2018 with about 70 straight days of over 100° weather in many parts of the state. Little normal range for two or three years called meeting with a catastrophic amount of rain this past year. You should care more about the world we leave behind for your children and grandchildren this shit should never be about politics, but doing the right thing!!!!
^ Archbishop Climate Change, lol
Go pray to your false God somewhere else
Even the weather people are calling bullshit on this being climate change
And, for fucks sake, try not to double TOS again.
It's just impossible to find a Prog with a brain.
the back nine, why don't you explain why you think this storm was caused by climate change?
There is no remotely significant global warming going on and the ocean levels are not rising. If oceans are rising the banks would not fund the loans for the beach front property all these globalists are buying.
If you care about the world you leave for those that inherit it then dont elect Progressives who are destroying education and indoctrinating students with Woke nonsense. They are the ones driving this great country into the dirt and ruining the future.
Here is some recent data.
If you look back over 100 thousand year we are actually in a cooling trend.
Take your climate alarmism and FUCK OFF!
