If one listens to the words he said at the time, when speaking of the Capitol, he was very careful to use the words "PEACEABLLY ASSEMBLE" when speaking to the crowd because the First Amendment prohibits the government from interfering with the right to peaceably assemble. So long as he was encouraging the right to peaceably assemble, he was within his rights. The other side tried to edit these words out of what he said. Whether I agree with Mr. Trump or not, the act of editing his words was, in my opinion, a crime, the crime of tampering with evidence.

I wrote that Tribe agreed with the two conservative professors, who are both members of the Federalist Society and proponents of originalism, that Trump is disqualified from holding public office under the 14th Amendment.
The professors are William Baude of the University of Chicago and Michael Stokes Paulsen of the University of St. Thomas.
This will be a very big deal of Chris Christie decides to sue to prevent Trump from running.

I don’t know what you’re smoking, but when have I suggested that I support those who believe that they can identify as whatever they want before they become adults?
My elderly mother (who is conservative) keeps on bringing up how schools are continually asking “pre-adults” what they want to identify as when they come to school. Of that really is happening, it must be very isolated because I can’t imagine schools doing that. But if that is happening, that’s obviously wrong. It isn’t like they are indoctrinating the pre-adults with the idea that they should be something other than their born gender, but just asking the question doesn’t make sense when the issue hasn’t presented itself.
It’s like if I asked you: when did you decided to be heterosexual? Assuming you actually are heterosexual, the likelihood is that you never decided anything. You just knew you liked girls.
Similarly, a gay man or gay woman doesn’t decide to be gay. They just are gay.
Conversely, merely asking a question to a pre-adult does nothing to the pre-adult. You’re not going to switch sides because someone asked you about it. But I agree, it shouldn’t be asked to begin with because the issue hasn’t resented itself.
As for pre-adults who think they are animals, they need to be referred to a psychiatrist.
If a pre-adult who is one gender insists that they don’t feel comfortable with their born gender, I would also suggest they see a psychiatrist to help them deal with t what they are feeling. Regardless, I would prevent the pre-adult from acting on those urges until he or she is an adult (regardless of parental consent). That means no hormone therapy and no surgeries whatsoever. Pre-adults may change their minds and I wouldn’t want to encourage permanent biological changes until a pre-adult is fully developed/matured.
Generally, I don’t give a fuck what adults do in their private lives so long as it’s legal. If people want to be gay, trannies, dogs, cats, whatever, that’s their business.
I suspect my position is pretty close to most people’s, including most conservatives. I have never been even remotely progressive when it comes to these issues and you know it because we’ve discussed it over the phone several times. I think you’re unhinged because you make up shit in your head and project it onto others. You seriously need to work on yourself.

I was pretty clear that my position is to never force any indoctrination on pre-adults. That includes not pushing any kind of hate or bias on them as well.
I don’t know what Disney does. Again, they should be neutral on all issues. Having one gay character isn’t necessarily shoving something down people’s throats because gay people do exist and they shouldn’t be ostracized. A whole show filled with gay people geared for pre-adults would be inappropriate because it isn’t a realistic image of society and they should be gearing their shows to all of society not just subgroups.
Generally, I think most people just want to be accepted without fear of being persecuted for who they are and the choices they make.
