12. I am from the desert in southwest Arizona. Democrats stole my ancestors’ land, stole their water, and left us to hunt rabbits to survive. When the Republicans were in control, they built us schools. When the Democrats took over, they told us they will let us keep them schools, but forbid us from speaking our native language and told us not to leave our area without permission.

What has recently come out is that the Tea Party was not a grassroots movement. It was funded by the Koch brothers. And much of the money that is feeding the crazy-Christian ideology that promotes anti-abortion, anti-gay, anti-transsexual, anti-science, anti-history, and anti-democratic movements has been funded mostly by a pair of ultra conservative Texas billionaires. The crazy Tea Party/QAnon movement was able to get traction after white people lost their shit after Obama was elected president.
One of the motivations for conservative anti-democratic push is that the far right doesn’t want to adjust their ideology to meet general public sentiment. For example, a vast majority of this country is pro abortion rights. Rather than adjust Republican positions to attract voters, Republican state legislators have passed laws making it more difficult to vote. And if the public votes against their measures, they’ve given themselves ways to overturn the will of the people. It’s not going to work.
The Republican Party is destroying itself and is delaying the inevitable. It must change to accommodate the will of the people or get voted out of office. Cheating only gets you so far. A large majority of the youth in the country are liberal. As people age and die, conservatives decrease in numbers. There is no way conservatives win out at the end.

How is asking for identification making it difficult to vote? People need identification for everything else. If they don't have ID, they might be trying to stay under the radar with the IRS or other agency...otherwise, why not get an ID? How is having a signature verification making it more difficult to vote? You signed your name at the time you registered. Just sign your ballot the same way.
We voted for decades by dragging our fat asses to the polls on election DAY, having someone verify that we were who we were and 'registered' in the area we were voting, and then casting our vote.
How difficult is that?
Guess this next generation of Americans are the laziest, dumbest and least motivated in our history.
We have more security having two factor verification signing into your cell phone account, accessing your Ring camera and logging in to your Google account than we do voting.

Before Covid, we had ONE fucking voting day and if you wanted to vote by mail, you had to request a mail-in ballot.
There was a push to change voting due to Covid concerns. But Covid is over, States are really just going back to what they did BEFORE Covid.
We don't need a month to vote. And you can actually go to a polling place. People go to get their groceries, go to a movie, attend sporting events and concerts, go to church, visit relatives and friends.
Like I said, totally lazy generation....get off your fat ass and go vote on Voting Day. That is NOT restriction of voting. Rather, it is helping to assure election integrity.

The GOP knows the voting habits of each party. Reducing the hours people can vote on certain days (like Sundays), reducing or eliminating mail-in voting, preventing people from offering rides or even water to voters in line—all diminishes the votes of Democrats.
Since races are typically very close, peeling off a few hundred (or even dozens) of votes can swing the outcome of elections to the Republicans. That’s the purpose of these laws that are based on nonexistent fraud made up by Trump’s “stop the steal”
scheme.
If Republicans actually appealed to the majority of society (such a novel idea, I know), they wouldn’t need to cheat. They’d want more people to vote. These laws are meant to suppress votes, which is anti-democratic.

Turns out every poll of black voters came in at 0% were inconvenienced, marginalized, unable to vote.........whatever moniker you wanna put on it. That all being said, the folks that run the state elections there managed to make it the highest participation vote in GA history.........and that includes black voters.............so much for restricting votes and "threatening democracy".
I'd have to look more closely at the other states but given the lies told about GA, I don't believe much of what I'm hearing in this blog about any other states elections.

People can STILL request an absentee ballot, just don't mail ballots to every person in the country. Ballots go to non-citizens, dead people, people who have moved, etc. A simple request for a ballot by mail is NOT restricting ANYTHING. A mail in request requirement does NOT limit voting.

Again, for the sake of round numbers, the white population is about 4 times larger than the black population...yet blacks still kill twice as many whites? A black population just 1/4 the size of the white population kills white people twice as often as the 4x greater white population kills blacks???
This MUST be happening because whites are racist against blacks...it's the #1 issue in America -- white racism...all those code words, dog whistles, microaggressions...it has to be that...white would blacks be killing whites so much more frequently if it wasn't for racism???
