Quite a while ago I suggested to a colleague at the Mayo Clinic who is an editor of the DSM-5 every year that she might be interested in him and she has been monitoring his comments for a couple years now. She is far too ethical to diagnose someone who is not in therapy with her personally, but she suggests either antisocial personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder are highly likely, her personal inclination being the former over the latter.
The lack of empathy, the righteous assumption that everyone is corrupt or evil except himself, and the general shallowness of his social and cultural and political observations suggest to her pathological introversion over the extroversion of a textbook Narcissist.
