Since GBD kindly opened another blog about me, I am willing to join here, but I would like to present you with the scoop of the day, and this is regarding the corruption on the Supreme Court I mentioned earlier in another blog;
Combined crooks by Federalist Society Leonald Leo and Supreme court Judge Clarence Thomas and his wife Virginia, NAZI admirer, Texas billionaire Harlan Crow, after their hell-bent scheme for loosening campaign finance restrictions by the Supreme court decision on 2010 Citizens United case, they succeeded in legalizing "the flow of dark money" into our politics without ever revealing donors' names. They "helped remake the judiciary and overturn legal precedents on abortion, affirmative action, and many other issues."
Just few months ago, ProPublica released a series of article regarding Clarence Thomas and luxury free gifts given to Clarence Thomas by a billionaire Harlan Crow, and the above article by Politico on top of it are very shocking, but in a way not surprising for us to recognize that US politics became more and more plutocratic democracy. Our voices, the majority of opinions are totally ignored by these billionaires and supreme court judges who decide what they prefer.
"The citizens United decision, which extended free speech rights to corporations, nonprofits, effectively curbed efforts to rein in political spending". Leo, Thomas, Crow "helped to elect state attorneys general willing to apply those theories (against precedents) and launch lavish campaigns for conservative judicial nominees who would cite those theories in their rulings from the bench"
Leo, Thomas created a nonprofit group called Liberty Central "that ultimately benefited from the decision, and Crow provided much of the initial cash"

Thanks GBD. We really need to cut dark money flow to influence our judiciary, directed connected to our voting rights, abortion rights etc..The only way to do this is to restore restrictions for campaign funds. Otherwise, our votes doesn't count, and it will not be called Democracy.
Leonald Leo is a real crook, made tons of money for himself, by creating many non-profit entities, and paying salary for Thomas' wife Ginni.
"Leonard Leo, a rightwing legal activist, has raked in more than $73m over six years from non-profit groups that may be diverting money illegally to his businesses, according to a watchdog complaint seen by the Guardian"
"The Campaign for Accountability, a non-profit watchdog organisation based in Washington, has called for an investigation into seven non-profit groups linked to Leo that it said may be misusing millions of dollars for the personal benefit of insiders -a violation of their tax-exempt status."
"A network of political non-profits formed by judicial activist Leonard Leo moved at least $43 million to a new firm he is leading, raising questions about how his conservative legal movement is funded.
Leo's own personal wealth appeared to have ballooned as his fundraising prowess accelerated since his efforts to cement the Supreme Court's conservative majority helped to bring about its decision to overturn abortion rights. Most recently, Leo reaped a $1.6 billion windfall from a single donor in what is likely the biggest single political gift in U.S. history."
