The Progressives in the CA state legislature are always trying to out do themselves in the "totally stupid" category on multiple fronts.
Senate bill 533 lauds itself as "workplace violence prevention " but it would criminalize any intervention with robberies at businesses. They are basically providing the safety net for CRIMINALS to be assured that LAW ABIDING CITIZENS cant interfere with robbery in progress. Utter bullshit
The state legislature looms have just established August as Transgender History Month. They cite the concept of "Spanish Colonizers suppression of transgender variance.." Plus 180 days dedicated to various bullshit and the whole month of June for Pride. Utter bullshit
California bill, AB-957, would “require parents to 'affirm' the 'gender transition' of any room mate,” or else lose custody. WTF?... OK where does it say in the Constitution that Govt is the adult with parental responsibility?... Utter bullshit.
And of course no Communist Dictator cant be worthy without trying to steal our guns. California lawmakers successfully approved legislation on Tuesday to limit who can carry firearms in public, setting up a likely legal challenge that could reach the U.S. Supreme Court. Utter bullshit.

I despise the government. In all forms. Conservative or Liberal. Those words don’t really have any meaning. But, I had an epiphany a few years back. To hate the government in a representative democracy, is to hate oneself. And since I love myself more than anything, I performed a series of thought experiments, starting with “what is at the core of civic corruption?”
That took me down a dark rabbit hole, my friend, and the worst part is - I believe the downward spiral is irreversible. Because you’re all a part of the problem, and we all know how resistant we are to self reflection, personal responsibility and accountability. Yes, that’s redundant, but whatever.
Anyway, I assume the government is going to do something to fuck with my plans and schemes. So I factor that in, mitigate it as best I can, and move on with my life.
Politics has become the playground for the intellectually bankrupt. We treat that shit like American Idol. And everything is for sale.

I love how these pretend conservatives want to defund the government because they think it's all partisan, yet they cherry pick these "supplemental" results and treat them as incontrovertible evidence. The logical conclusion from this repeated behavior is that none of you care about the law, or sound economic theory, common sense immigration policy, etc. You just want to bitch and moan for a variety of reasons.

Before voting for Newsom, everyone should take a 1 mile walk through San Francisco (on the sidewalks). Followed by parking their car on a street in the city overnight with some stuff inside.

Lots of ways to parse this data but what I find interesting is that, even though certain states have low income/higher poverty........there is NO state that has the homeless population that CA has.
Low cost housing = low unhoused population
It's that simple.
CA adds anywhere from $150,000 to $200,000 per home to the cost of building each unit right at the get go.
Add in CEQA making building time as long as 5 - 10 years for a subdivision
VOILA!
Expensive housing, high homelessness
Again, it's pretty simple math
