That book looks next level.
I might need to check it out. Thank you …

Another one of my favorites. Reading it at an airport or on a plane gives it richer context.

I never studied psychology, but in my old age, I’m seeking to understand my fellow man a little better.

Oh, and the audiobook is narrated by Bronson Pinchot, aka Balki from Perfect Strangers. It’s a comforting way to fall asleep.

@allcaps I really appreciate the conversation around this.
Thank you for engaging with me on this and the suggestions!

I masturbate to Elizabeth Holes interviews or Darth Vader reading the Bible. I like deep voices.

If anyone is interested I have available several issues of FANTASTIC UNIVERSE, science-fiction from the mid 1950's. You can get them online too, but having the real paper is better (in my opinion).

"The subtle art of not giving a F*ck"
That's really a book??
That's crazy.
To each his own,.... personally I can find a hell of a lot better things to do then reading on how to be an asshole.
The world and the people in it sure have changed.
"The Wealth of Nations" NOW that's a good book.
JUST SAYING.
I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

I’m always reading a book. When I finish one, I start another. I just finished a Jack Reacher book by Lee Child and I’m about a third into ‘Mr Mercedes’ by Steven King. Been doing a lot of fiction lately which isn’t normally my preference.

Skurfette, don’t judge a book by its cover. I hate cliches, but I’ll be damned if that one doesn’t actually apply for once.

A great antidote to the daily “doom and gloom” being pedaled by the media and the anti-science populists (and some Hx bloggers). Positive change may take time, and the journey is circuitous, but it is happening. You may just need to zoom out and take a different perspective to see it.
Enlightenment Now: The Case for Reason, Science, Humanism, and Progress by Steven Pinker.

I’m just finishing ‘Sea People’ the current state of knowledge on how the Pacific was peopled. The next up is Elizabethan Sea Dogs’ a history of a particular form of piracy.

Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver

@skurfergirl
So the book isn’t about being an asshole. Not from my perspective. It’s more about not taking things personally. And how to not let other views and opinions dictate your purpose
I like your suggestion. I’ve not read that. I will soon.
I love all types of books.
The fifth agreement really was a life changing one for me
Thank you for the suggestion.
