I think the point is that in spite of the fact there is plenty of evidence Hunter has been involved with far more nefarious crimes the new 'independent' council Weiss will run out the clock on any and all charges linking Joe to hunters criminal activities.
We know that because BEFORE Weiss was put on the job he had a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT task of investigating this dude named Hunter Biden who he let the statute of limitations run out on other charges. Yeah that Weiss was not the best choice.

There won't be any debates with Covid on the rise, mask mandates coming back, Joe will campaing from the beach or the basement and no one will stand up against him.
As for Hunter,with his history to tax issues the statute would be 6 years for substantial understatement of income and possibly no statute if they go with fraud since he clearly was aware of the LLC and the myriad of activity to move the shells around. To me that constitutes knowledge and intent ergo fraud and no statute.
Frankly I'm surprised no one on Fox or anywhere for that matter has mentioned this issues am I the only one with enough knowledge of tax law to allege these things, dig deeper and pin his ass to the wall?
Rapper, snoop and others went to jail for under-reporting far less income and they had managers who ripped them off, yet they still took the fall and are still making payments to the IRS, just ask Will Nelson.

No doubt Tom, that's a loser. I've been in the tax world 45 years and he's most definitely getting perferential treatment. In any other cases for old years, IRS requests a waiver of statute of limitations, if TP doesn't sign they go ahead and assess for max deficiency and then the clock starts ticking, he'd have to file a petition in tax court and that is all public! So to have 2 years lapse no wonder the whistleblowers came forth. It will pretty much kill their careers but they stand by the law something the Biden family knows nothing about.

GBD remember the IRS could ask for a waiver of the statute of limitations and if he didn't sign they just assess and then the real fighting begins. In fact they should request now to light a fire and get negotiations underway. Anyone with that amount of unreported income and taxes will have a huge bill to face and IRS typically likes to make example of high(pun intended) TP's like Hunter, Snoop and other celebrities who had similar issues and spent time in jail.
