General Milley was very careful about trying to stay above the political fray up until now, only commenting on factual things that occurred. But now that he has retired, look for him to divulge some pretty unsettling opinions about DJT. In his speech at his retirement ceremony today he essentially bitch-slapped DJT by saying, "...we don't take an oath to a wannabe dictator..."
Just when you thought things couldn't get any uglier, they get uglier. But then again, we are already the laughing stock of the world so why not! Feed that shit storm, the pundits love it.

I don't wear panties (thank you for being my straight man), but I am interested in hearing about all of the things that were transpiring behind the scenes while the rest of the world was making judgements based on incomplete information. It will undoubtedly make for some (more) interesting intrigue.
We are all looking for affirmation that what we have believed to be true really is true. And like usual when it comes to politics, about 50% of the people are going to be very disappointed. Just want to know which group I will be falling into.
There is a big difference between an opinion and a fact. We haven't heard all of the facts yet so anything that any of us say, especially here on HX, is only an opinion (or even just a guess).
DJT is absolutely entitled to the best defense possible within the framework of the constitution and the established rules of the criminal justice system. I don't care if he is indicted 10 more times for 1,000 more crimes, he is innocent until voted[1] guilty by a jury of 12 common citizens; not politicians, not judges, and not the media. So why are the Rep's so afraid of what 12 average citizens will say once they are presented with the evidence that they are willing to burn the whole system down to stop the process? If anything, it makes it appear like they are desperately trying to hide some guilt - at any cost. That is what cults do!
Notwithstanding all of that, I have already made up my mind that DJT is a despicable human being, and the final outcome of his legal problems will not change that one bit. And I don't really care, one way or the other, what the final verdicts of his civil and criminal trials are.

ED, I am not on a Trump-hater bandwagon, I am on a protect American democracy and for the Constitution bandwagon. For anyone to not see that Donald Trump is a danger to our democracy is blind and gullible. He wants to destroy all democratic norms that have been in place for centuries, only for his own greed and selfish ways. He cares nothing about the American people. How can you support someone who enters a business contract with a small business and then won't pay them after they have completed the work you hired them for. Instead, you threaten them with a lawsuit if they don't accept 50% or less of what HE agreed to pay in the beginning. Or ask his supporters to pay his legal fees for crimes that he is definitely guilty of while he plays golf or fly around in his private plane. Trump wants to be a dictator like Hitler, Mussolini or Putin but most Americans will see that he is a fraud like his business loans in NYC.
No one is above the LAW or the Constitution. Period.
