Newsom did this and vetoed a bill that would require parents to affirm their offspring's gender identity in custody battles.
He seemed awfully friendly with Sean Hannity the other night after the debate. He's playing the game.
If one were cynical, one would take these populist measures to mean he's doing everything he can to be the Democratic Presidential nominee should Biden bow out.
He's thinking that and also 2028.

Still need to confirm this info but heard at one point in time, Cali produced 25% of global oil production.....which sounds crazy to me.
A little research confirms we once produced almost 40% of the US total.
We are now 3%.
Even worse, Cali imports 60% from overseas!!!
How fucking stupid is the modern day Progressive?
And, how much of a liar is the Warden when he blames gas prices on oil companies?
Cali gas is $1/gal HIGHER than Hawaii and they have to import 100% across an ocean!

It's all in the price per barrel. Even if it were drop down to 80 a barrel again it would still take 3 weeks for that price to hit the pumps.

I had an old guy yesterday (Lyft rider) that retired from the oil biz, said he worked at one time or another at all the refineries here. Said you wouldn't believe how many oil wells here that have been capped off since WW2. That are just sitting there.
He said he was shocked that I knew about the price per barrel (above ^ ). I also confirmed that another oil worker told me some 30 years ago that we have enough oil to last a 100 years.
So you see.... Ah Winter has come early this year. Climate Change  Such a term that can go either way.

California actually produces more oil than it uses, but they export most of it, like 99% of it and import cheaper grade crude and gas that is already refined to sell to us. if there was a law that they could not export, even to another state, any oil produced here unless it was a surplus not being consumed here, our gas prices and supply would never be an issue.

The logic, or maybe excuse is a better word, is that the oil that they get from US wells has a higher sulfur content then what Cali imports to turn into gas, diesel etc.
The lower sulfur content emits lower waste products.

So the higher sulphur oil gets shipped (burns fuel) somewhere else, is processed and burned - in the same atmosphere.
Yet progressive activists think we've been saved.

That would be their very same logic with ALL things climate related.
As long as the mining and the drilling and the smogging and the coaling and the pipelining and the everything else happens somewhere else.........that's totally cool.
As long as we can get some of that free EV charging, we are saving the planet!

the gas price is not controlled by the government and in california the tax is "only" around $1.15/gal.
the high cost is supply/demand
there is only a few suppliers of gasoline in california
and yes i am sure newscum will be running for potus in the next, JB does not have another term in him.
