Those are the far right fuckwads who just decided to cut off their own heads for absolutely no gain whatsoever. NOTE however, that not a single Dem present voted for sanity either, even though they cannot take control, being in the minority. AOC sealed McCarthy's fate when she said she'd vote to oust and Hakeem Jefferies didn't have the balls to go against HIS far left wing.
McCarthy had many faults (sucking Trump's ass being one of them) but he proved to be an adult in the room actually achieving "the possible" given the Senate is controlled by Dems.
It takes two to tango and if just two Dems had voted for McCarthy, this would not have happened. Also note that Pelosi wasn't there, as well as, a number of other chicken shits (218 to 210 leaves 7 missing in action).
Perfect, now we have no Speaker with 43 days to go for the next shutdown.
I blame the eight assholes above plus the entire Dem contingent.
Looks like it was more important to embarrass McCarthy and the Pubs, than get on with the people's business. Shameful and despicable.

No, it was McCarthy himself who enabled his own downfall. He made himself not to be trustworthy to either party or anyone else, because he never had any strong backbone or his own philosophy. He is just an opportunist politician without core belief in anything.
He condemned Trump after Jan 6, and asked for an independent commission to investigate it, then immediately he changed his mind, and he kneeled under Trump because he saw an opportunity to become a House Speaker.
He made a deal with Biden to fund military support for Ukraine, then he took the deal off because he had to listen to the demands of the far-right caucus. After repeating this engaging in double dealing many times without clear tactics, all the people around him were burnt out and nobody could believe him at the end.
I would call him semi-loyalist to MAGA Trump. There are so many GOP jefllyfish-politicians like McCarthy in the current GOP, and that is a dangerous trend that we have to pay attention to. Otherwise, it will lead straight to fascism.

In fact, at my age it's possible to see a new generation make the same mistakes as a different one from earlier in my own lifetime
Case in point, regarding crime.........we've been here before back in the 70's/80's, then we woke up and cracked down in the 90's/00's. Here we are again where we were 50 years ago. Same with immigration, same with a lot of things.
I'm optimistic that we can bypass the war/revolution part but realistic enough to understand that it might go there.......hopefully not in my lifetime.
Daniel Henninger wrote a piece in 1993 called "No Guardrails" and it's still apropos today. Many, fortunately not all, of our intellectual, political and cultural elites have forgotten the protective virtues of self-restraint and self-control. Now, it's balls to the wall anything goes in pursuit of our tribal goals and fuck the rest of you.
Frankly, I wish I could be here to see the other side of peak human population. That'll throw some sand in the gears.

Why try and blame the Democratic caucus when they are in the minority? They saved the government from going into default and McCarthy went on the news shows lambasting them! He talks out of both sides of his mouth and made concessions to the far right crazies just to become speaker.
He deserved to be ousted because he is a weak man! Nancy Pelosi has more balls than he ever had!
All the Republicans care about is culture wars, they do not know how to govern! They deserve to be in the minority and the Democrats in the majority who care about the American people. The Republicans only care about corporations and lobbyists with their BS about the Trickle Down Economics! The rational middle has to stand up to do it. We can’t let the extremes tear us apart, which they will if we stay silent. My vote for speaker goes to @Marrisa_G she’s hot and seems pretty sensible.

I was referring to legislation passed (sausage), never mentioned the impeachment.
Frankly, I'm opposed to an impeachment (an inquiry is fine), just as I was opposed to impeachment for FDT and FBC..........fucking stupidity on all sides.

PS Pelosi announced a formal impeachment over a month before the House voted on the subject. It's arguable whether either impeachment was done correctly......except that this one is not an impeachment yet..........it's an inquiry to gather more info. If and when they don't find the goods, then it will likely go away while Boebert finds someone new to grab her titties.
