Obama nee Robinson said being at Princeton was the first time she became more aware of her ethnicity and, despite the willingness of her classmates and teachers to reach out to her, she still felt "like a visitor on campus".
Michelle Robinson graduated from Princeton and like much of her family is multi-racial.......just like Barry. Like most "admin" at the University she worked, she was overpaid for a bullshit made up job. I wouldn't pretend to know what was in her mind when she made the statement but consider the possibility that her comment was a political one to be quite high.
Frankly, I count my blessings that some family members were murdered and the rest driven from their ancestral home so that I had the good fortune to be borne and raised in the US. For all its faults, most def WAY better than having been stuck in the shithole where my grandparents were from.

A vice-president's ability to assume the helm used to be the prime criteria for selecting a VP. Now it is simply what weight they bring to the ticket. If Biden dies while in office and Kamela Harris takes over we will see a movement back to picking a VP that is capable of being president (but only having to face our mistakes).
