In yo face Dodgers!!!!! š¤£

Yeah, I went to the first two games in the series here in LA, and all I saw was defeat. 2 years in a row this crap happens, disgusting.

Kershaw: Great in season pitcher.
Should almost be left off of the po roster - addition by subtraction.

You can't win anything scoring 6 runs in 3 games
|
|
Sure you can as long as you hold the other team to less runs. But that takes GREAT pitching and D.
Sandy threw a no no, the team had sent Big D on ahead of the team to the next city on the road trip. He was told about Sandy's no no and he asked 'Who won' cause the team was notorious for low support. Sandy got the win with a 1-0 complete game.
Yet the team was a consistent winner and always in the po's.
When's the last time Kershaw or any other dodger pitcher threw more then even 7?

Rabid Dodger fan for 60 years so I remember the Koufax/Drysdale teams that won with very little run support. The 2023 Dodgers were the exact opposite.
If you blame the pitching for the NLDS loss you were not paying attention. Dodger pitching most of the year consisted of a confused Urias and injured Gonsolin and Kershaw. The starting pitching leaned on rookies for almost the whole 2nd half.
The rookies and injured vets would usually give up 2-5 runs through 5-7 innings and the OFFENSE WOULD SCORE 6 or 7. That's how they won 100 games.
I love Mookie and Freddie but they were the catalysts in the regular season for all those runs. 1 hit of the infield variety in 3 games just wouldn't cut it. When they shit the bed, the Dodgers were finished.
I expect Freidman to find a stud starter and with Buehler back and they should have another good year next year. If they hit the post season without a stud #1 starter you can expect the same outcome.

Oh well...Dodger Fan is relegated to another off season of watching 1988 WS Highlights....Because 2020 was an asterickš.....Dodger brass continues to think it can buy a championship.....
|
|
Funny how we like to subjectively put asterisks conveniently on anything.
DBacks wouldnāt be in playoffs if they didnāt change the playoffs format a couple of years ago. Should we put am asterisk on their playoff win this year ? See how ridiculous this sounds?
2020 all teams played by same rules and format.
|
|
Asterisk belongs on anything won by a team that was 2 games over .500.
Fuck the wild card teams
|
|
2020 was an abbreviated season..it's not subjective.say what you want, baseball is a grind Season & playoffs....the 2020 season was shortened......all these wins during the past two seasons and 1st round exits. C'mon!!! 2020 counts in name only....
|
|
I really donāt get what you mean. Yes is was abbreviated season but it was a for all teams. No team had advantage.
Braves won in 2021 without their MVP and was carried by three castoffs acquired at the trade deadline that year. Is this the grind you are referring?

great story with the braves that year
think bron and davis played the short year perfectly...fit the health of the two players
