The problem with UKR funding is that the new speaker is against it, like strongly. If the Dems want they can use their leverage to tieit to Ukraine aid since the GOP is pretty staunchly pro Israel. Border funding won't get done regardless as Biden doesn't have the desire. The republicans probably won't even be able to muster a bill to keep the government open in the three weeks they got so it's pretty much a moot point either way
Personally I wouldn't mind funding more border patrol agents and more court infrastructure to deal with those that come thru but I think building a wall is beyond moronic. No wall or barrier is ever going to stop people from coming across.. All of trump's beautiful wall was defeated by $7 worth of rebar made into ladders. Hell it even paint matched and camouflaged itself lol
do you have a front door with a lock?
please shut the fuck up with that shit
there was one spot at the border...please pay fucking attn
at this spot, there were 8,000 people a day coming thru. Solve it
funding for israel - yeah i dont get that, they have means and they have weapons.
keep in mind all the funding is us taxpayers footing the bill.
ukraine - well lets just say if we dont either get a peace agreement soon or nail putin then there will be trouble around the corner, lots of it...
We need those 8000 a day, but need to have the infrastructure to support them.
Long term, many immigrants will work harder than us counterparts. Especially the 20 year olds.
We had a hiring/training all month long in October, and 1st generation/2nd generation young adults have stepped up over their domestic counterparts. And don’t get me started on the old people who actually want to work.
They may bitch about aches and pains, but the worm ethic and dedication, in what I have seen from the recent immigrant class, outpaces new hires who have been here for generations.
And they are not glued to their phones.

Aaand back on topic.
I am glad we have a Speaker and the nation won’t go over the cliff.
I hope that Johnson can keep the dogs in line.
ISOS please explain to me exactly how a wall is going to stop anyone from coming over or under it? They don't work you fucking moron. Look it up. I costs roughly $7USD worth of rebar to build a ladder, that conveniently matches the color scheme lol, to hop over every fucking mile of wall that trump built you tool. The cartels can afford the construction costs lol
Here's a link to the ladders. And my bad, it cost less than $6 lol
The money is already allocated for a portion of the border wall, and Biden says it will be built, even of walls don't work.
i don't know if you two dumb motherfuckers are ever going to REACH dude...BUT holy fuck. this must be just trying to fuck with people...no way you can actually think this shit up
NEED the 8000 coming in per day?
really? we need em? did you see the mayor of NYC come out a few months ago? what did he say? THEY will NEED 5 billion dollars over 3 years as a result of the latest surge. does NYC have an extra 5billion bucks? if not...less police, less fire....less things that keep existing citizens safe
guess what else?
how is a wall supposed to stop 8000 coming thru?
like i said before...the 8000 was coming thru one spot. what were your ideas again to stop 8000 coming thru one spot?
We could threaten them with a warning that you would be their English instructor.
Hiring more border patrol agents, building out the court system to handle processing them quicker. Two altogether much better use of resources then building a billion dollar wall that can be defeated by less then $6 worth of fucking rebar you brain dead imbecile
Plus it also has the added benefit of creating long term for paying jobs for Americans
there he is...lil CS is always lurking
Fuck deploy the US Army for all I care. I just know that building a wall is a total waste of money
Also the Google says 8,000 immigrants were caught per day, ACROSS THE SOUTHERN BORDER. So not sure where you're getting your all in one spot bullshit from but if that's the hill you want to die on, be my guest lol
they have border patrol...they can't keep up so what now?
so ladders, tunnels, 6-dollar tools...what else?
what does that look like though, in real life? 8000 coming thru...now a WALL goes up. now what?
think it thru
btw...it was never just a wall...it was all the other stuff also. the tech stuff.
but what does a wall allow you to do?
More border patrol agents, use the military. A wall literally does nothing. If a $6 ladder can defeat the wall what's the fucking point? Use drones, cameras, motion sensors whatever. But you still physically need HUMANS to apprehend the fucking illegals. I don't understand why you can't wrap your brain around that. Unless you're clinically stupid, which is possible lol
can't have a convo if you can't fucking read what the fuck is happening
maybe it would change your mind
maybe this will help ya
Shocking new images show the Eagle Pass epicenter of the migrant crisis being hit by another huge influx of asylum seekers - as a leaked document suggests Border Patrol agents are too busy processing arrivals to guard the crossing.
The Texas town of just 28,000 people has been inundated by migrants in recent days, with border crossings rising to around 8,000 a day in the week ending September 22, according to the Washington Office of Latin America.
Throughout the month of August, upwards of 232,000 migrants made their way over the US-Mexico border.
I'm not sure if you understand this but MORE border patrol agents = more agents to STOP illegals. Jesus fucking Christ you're dimwitted. You can't physically stop illegals without actually heading other human beings to arrest them. No tech, hi or low, is going to solve that problem dipshit. You need boots on ground. Unless you think we can build robots to do it lol
Also, google "eagle pass migrants". It literally days over a few days 4,000 migrants crossed there so again, 8,000 per day in any one spot on the border is far fetched
Can these new agents cull out the "hot" illegals?
There's a shot ton of us old folks that would like someone to change our bed pans and maybe throw in a happy ending just in case our pee pee gets stiff.
Include it as part of our Medicare benefit, thx
Based on what I’m reading, the new speaker is a disaster for Republicans and will be used by Democrats in their messaging to motivate voters.
Johnson is ultra, ultra conservative. He wants a national abortion ban. Wants to strip gays of all rights. Wants to create a Christian nation.
When Dr.Boogie claims that a politician would want to shut down HX, this is the one who would do it.
Team Red picked another winner! 😉
Picking Johnson as the Speaker is sending a clear message to the Dems; "Our way or the highway!"
Just more divisive BS from our elected officials. That is why it is time to clean house on the whole lot of them!
I believe there is a difference between illegals and asylum seekers that complicates the process
you fuckers are too funny
maybe you're the same person
pretty sure... that there will be ZERO abortion and gay laws coming out of the house...voted on and passed
this is one of those make-a-wager things
No extreme measures will get passed with a Democrat controlled Senate. Nothing will likely get done because of the Speaker that was chosen. That’s why Republicans will stand to lose a lot because of that choice; it will hurt Republicans politically by motivating Democrats to vote.
But who knows. Maybe the moderate Republicans will vote with the Democrats to pass bills, fund Ukraine, and raise the debt ceiling.
ISOS you never addressed how to stop the illegals besides building a wall and all that tech stuff lol. What do you think would help? Lol
Maybe the moderate Republicans will vote with the Democrats to pass bills, fund Ukraine, and raise the debt ceiling.
Maybe someone in Congress will actually figure out....we don't need to raise the debt ceiling...we just have to spend less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bloated Federal government could be reduce by 10% and that would just remove the first layer of fucking FAT.
maybe MA can help you on the wall thing...he knows a lot about it
A wall as a physical barrier that can slow down illegal immigrants, but it isn't very effective in keeping people out. They can easily climb it or cut holes into it with some time. But in heavily trafficked areas, it would be somewhat helpful and I do agree that 8,000 people a day is ridiculous.
the purpose of a wall is to slow down the flow. It is much better than no wall at all where migrants just walk straight ahead. It does not take a genius to understand that.
The cost of the wall is very low compared to the money we are sending abroad.
The wall is ineffective, proven by the record numbers off people that are crossing it daily and common sense lol. I don't need any help on the wall, I already offered my solutions. More border patrol and build out the courts to deal with the overflow of illegals coming in. You're the one who's stuck on the wall lol
Let's build a 10 lane freeway to make the flow easier so hundred of thousands can come in every day.
lost cause
Lol lost cause is you lying about 8,000 people coming thru one crossing spot every day. You wanting to build the wall. And mostly you having zero actual ideas on how to slow the illegals from coming thru despite it being seemingly high on your priority list lol
Unless you just like bitching and whining out loud to read yourself lol
Wait a minute. Are you saying that WE are paying for that fence?
Are you paying for $120 B to Ukraine? Yes, you are....
Best money ever spent. They actually fight the war, we send them our old munitions, we have to employ Americans to rebuild the new ones, totally weakens/exposes Russia for being a third world military superpower, and all at the cost of exactly ZERO American lives. Well done Biden
Am I helping to pay like 900 billion in defense spending? Yes, I am.
This proxy war with Russia is a bargain any way you look at it. They are failing miserably and it will take decades to recover and we have not fired a shot.
We should build that wall up north
I don't really care for Canadian snowbirds

But GBD what would you do to try and stem the illegals from coming over? And don't tell me a moat with alligators and gun turrets lol. You seem like a well read and knowledgeable person. What's your solution. I personally think it's manpower with advanced tech and building out the court system to handle the illegals when they do apply for asylum.
Walls seem more superficial signaling than effective, imho
If there's money to be made on any illegal imported goods, the cartels will figure a work around to any barrier we could design.
Best place to start would be for these two fucked-up imbecilic parties to design a better immigration system. Back in the 80's, the agreement was grandfather illegals in the country in exchange for making a better system. They did the first part but never could agree on the second part.
40 years later, we're back to where we were.
Temporarily, in the meantime, more manpower is it plus electronics. This system of just letting a shit ton of bodies in and telling them to show up for a hearing in a year is fucking nuts and pressuring county/city services. Although, it's pretty funny watching Dem mayor's scream at a Dem Pres, it's not productive, efficient or smart. FJB is losing votes on this issue.
Population demographics argue for much higher LEGAL immigration and much lower ILLEGAL immigration. If we don't want to end up like China, Japan, Italy and a bunch of countries with contracting populations......we need the bodies. The great unwashed masses of today become the parents of college grads tomorrow. Eventually, they too will become spoiled bratty lazy good for nothing insta wanna-be influencing 'Muricans.
Was that #tldr?
No and it makes sense, at least to me. More manpower and tech are the only actual solutions to addressing the current influx. A wall is completely ineffectual. And I also agree that overhauling the law re: immigrants is necessary. We need the labor for sure and I believe if given a chance most illegals will do okay for themselves here as well as being a net positive on the economy. Their kids however will become good for nothing entitled brats. I can speak from experience, all four of my grandparents legally immigrated to America. It only took two generations and one wildly successful set of parents for me to be a lazy entitled American lol
