Back to the restaurant scandal.
When Alicia first posted her video of her first date with Jay, there was a debate on social media about credibility of the video. Was it a skit? Some expressed the opinion that people shouldn't let themselves get so worked up over a skit. Content creators are pulling your leg.
How could it not be a skit? Who acts like that? Alicia was acting so over-the-top and ridiculous that it must have been a skit. As the days passed, it became clear that the first date video was not a skit. The video was real. Some guy called in to a podcast to confirm that Jay was a friend of his and that the date actually happened. Jay lives in Atlanta. His family owns a dozen liquor stores in Atlanta.
For the most part, black women on Facebook saw nothing wrong with Alicia's behavior. In fact they endorsed her behavior and later took it upon themselves to draft the list of twenty-eight places where a woman should refuse to go on a first date.
