Willy was flown back to Iceland on board a C-17 some 20 years ago ? Died a couple years later.

I’ve been following these stories for a couple years now. I have friend the was doing a delivery of a boat from France to the BVI, while out about 1500 miles they hit a whale not sure which kind but it bent the rudder post and water was flooding in from the packing. They managed to make it to their destination by using every pump on board as bilge pumps to keep the water at bay. A lesson I learned from him was to keep wax toilet rings onboard to pack into areas where there is water intrusion. However if a Orca rips off your rudder the boats going to sink.
