when you're that low on fuel 
I know it's hard, but start looking for fueling opportunities when you just start to get below half a tank

Never wait to fill up. Get in the habit of getting gas right below or at your half tank line
You can damage your car really badly waiting like that and being a woman the last thing you need is to be stranded late at night . Literally makes you an easy target. For every $100 you make save $15-$20 in an emergency fund stash. Women get so caught up in making fast cash they don't plan for emergencies then boom. Especially with the pandemic still not all or the way in the clear you definitely want to be prepared for whatever life throws at you.
All else fails there's a bunch of companies that will bring you gas . Never tried them but fuelster and gas it up immediately popped up on Google when I looked . AAA may have options as well

When my tire blew out I called USAA and they gave me an estimated time of 1.5 hours for service. I hung up and called AAA and they were there in 20 minutes .. Definitely great to have if you have a car

I too have ran out of gas before. 1981 was the last time.

It can happen to anyone. I left my wallet at home one time and had to scrounge up change in my car. Luckily I found enough to get me by till I got back to my place. As a rule I try to keep the tank full but sometimes I get busy with work and school and other activities.
