Who's Hartman?
Is there supposed to be a link here?
|
|
Hartmann, believe it or not is a dem but a dem with common sense.
Watch the video and he explains how rayguns took the economy from one that was working for everyone, and growing the middle class, to one that works for the upper 10% - 20%, shrinks the middle class and leaves the rest to struggle.
The 11 point plan crafted by Hamilton when he was treasury secretary under washington was called 'The American Plan' and was implemented and used from then up to '81 when rayguns, and every president since abandoned it for 'trickle down' and became nothing more then corporate stooges.
The American Plan is what china based their 'new economy' on 30 years ago and has since been the fastest growing economy in history.

I have been following Hartman for years. I used to listen to him when he was on KPFK at 1 am. then his show, then his books and then his youtube channel. the guy and a lot of his guests are amazing.

I just heard of him but if all of his 'talks' and books are similar I'll be reading them.
I've been railing against rayguns for years because of that path he set for the U.S. Definitely his best role for a very untalented actor. Funny he married another very untalented actor in nancy.
Just read a book about hollywood in the 50's that interviewed a lot of actors from that time period. Apparently old nan was known as the blowjob queen around hollywood and that's how she got her parts.

that "raygun" reference almost, almost when over my head; but i got it. nice one.
he definitely was the guy who changed the course of ameriKKKan economics. the one that always sticks out to me is his attacks on unions. the air controller strike was huge and all they wanted was a pay increase. interesting how the gop do the first major assault on the working class and then the dems come with the closing attack.
it is hard to explain to the average person who monitors on a lite level. to them, the world is Black and White.

Weird that the video didn't show up the first time I was on this blog.
Don't know him but will check it out.
As to Reagan, just another guy who did some good and some bad, pretty much like every Pres.
Gonna have to disagree with you on the union though. As usual, manboob is a foolio, you dumb fuck....you weren't even around when this shit went down.
Reagan backed the union and PATCO endorsed Reagan instead Carter. Then the dumbasses ignored a court order, went on strike against federal law and basically fucked themselves. Reagan snapped his dick off in their collective asses and broke the fuck out of 'em. Best thing he ever did and even though i voted for Carter in 1976, i cheered Reagan on in this one.
Then I learned that basically you only join a union if you're a loser cause you got no skills.
Not surprising that manboob knows nothing about the racist history of unions in this country.
Basically, they were white organizations formed to stop the blacks from taking their jobs.
The worst of all are public unions, complete bullshit that even FDR said were an abomination.
And, unions were in tight with Dems from the 1930's on.....why you ask?
Cause the Dems were the party of racial segregation, shit....this stuff is all in the history books, lol
Fucking manboob, you don't even qualify as an idiot........you're a caricature of an idiot

It'll take this imbecile a while to Google some shit and come back with his response.
Seriously, it's one thing to have an opinion but to espouse it with no knowledge, facts or truth is just fucking stupid. Hand in your Marx card and misinformed idiot decoder ring and pick up the white courtesy phone so you can be riffed.

The liberal only remembers the part of history that supports their idiocy and never the part where they were in the wrong.
My eyes have always been wide open about the outsourcing of industry to other countries. Doesn't matter where or what color the people are... its done to enrich the corporation to the detriment of the community that supports it. US corporations have built infrastructure of other nations because of Nixon and Reagans policies... didn't hear much of fight put up by the former "party of the working class". Instead we have seen that party morph in to the corporatist party and have bribed the unions to support the very policies that rape their membership.
But yeah If it were not for Reagan... my God that mentality is so fucking stupid. Dude literally pulled us out of recession... something Carter neither had the ability or inclination to even attempt... sooo much like our current President.

'But yeah If it were not for Reagan... my God that mentality is so fucking stupid. Dude literally pulled us out of recession.'
True but ... he did it buy selling out the U.S. economy and the middle class to corporations and giving them and the top 10% everything they wanted - lowered their taxes while raising them on the middle class, giving the top tax breaks while taking them away from the middle class, de-regulating industries and sectors so now banking/wall street, healthcare, insurance, transportation, energy etc etc is a mess. And every pres after has carried on the same bs economic policies from bush1 through obummer.
The result - the middle class has continued to shrink, corporations are largely unregulated and 80% of the wealth is held by less then 10%.
BTW, that's the way mexico's economy also works.
What rayguns did was to declare war on the middle class and at the same time licking the boots of his corporate overlords and the top 10% as did bush 1, clinton, bush lite, obama.

^ You're seriously misinformed
Cite your specific reasons why you think he changed the entire course of US policy
This I gotta hear

My point is dude "Rayguns" had been dead for over 20 years and out of office for twice that time. Not a fucking soul in congress or the executive branch has even attempted to push the breaks on trade with China.... instead we got Nafta and they tried to push TPP and the Paris climate accords which fuck us even more.
But yeah ... but by all means let's not elect a President that renegotiate bad trade agreements or hold other countries responsible for the unfair trade practices. Let's stick with the kind of politicians that made the bed we sleep in.

dude did was he was supposed to do...maybe you will thank him in 50 years...probably need to give the R/T before any of you die or contract it out/let your wife do it

@wunandun, I seem to remember, that Orange Bad evil nazi dude. Put tariffs on a lot of Chinese exports.. and the goody too shoe dems were flipping out over it.
|
|
Biden hasn't removed the tariffs on the importers (it has no effect on China), which would be an easy inflation relief if he did.
|
|
Correct me if I'm wrong but the trade deals with China had conditions that would be easier if the Chinese allowed more US trade within China and actually move some manufacturing to the US. Im pretty sure those conditions were there. That would in effect mitigate some of this inflationary pressure if China had abided by the most lenient conditions.
The Trump sanctions could be easily lifted as Bwana pointed out. So if it's such a hindrance to easing inflation why hasn't it even been mentioned by the President, his economic advisers, Wall Street or any fucking body besides Bwana. Asking for a friend cus they don't want to be accused of making a micro-agression.
