I got tested yesterday. I failed. Missed 7 out of 10.

Thank you! This is a great reminder especially for people who like a natural touch. From some friends in the industry, throat STI’s are literally a curse. The most common of infections are asymptomatic, so routine screening is important.
I know most don’t visit doctors or clinics for whatever reason, but there’s no shame in doing the right thing and taking care of yourself!

Especially since I have a life outside of HX, I work hard to be careful.
I just had my doctor add an STD panel to my regular workup that I did on Monday and got the "all-clear" this morning. I do need to work on my cholesterol, however.
It's the responsible thing to do, and not that expensive even if it's out-of-pocket.

planned parenthood in mission viejo and riverside has a thing called a family pack that you can apply for. You only qualify if you dont make a certain amount of money each year or have an issue to where you dont want to use insurance. You can get an unlimited amount of STD tests, throat swabs and anal swabs as well as regular check ups like pap smears and more
other great option is STDCheck.com
Also there is a company that is amazing called heymistr where you do everything online and can get this pill thats like an HIV plan B pill . I just discovered them on Instagram today but its definitely something to look into

Go to the Urgent Care of your choice, download their app, have the blood and pee drawn, 2 days later your app will be updated with the results, and you can show anyone you choose the results...
I go to Providence every 3 months, the results go to " My Chart " on their app... So no paperwork that could be not so good for others to find unexpectedly  The co-pay is $ 25 and most insurances cover it 3 to 4 times a year... I last did mine on 9/2, the results populated on 9/4 in the app, with an accompanying e-mail notifying me, and clean and good to go to all tests

For anyone interested!
Here’s the std testing site I use! Very simple, online and gives you various packages you can choose from. Once you pay it (visa or Mastercard) you simple indicate your Zip code and it let’s you select a lab to visit.
The doctors order has already been faxed to the lab you select, waiting for you to get the blood draw. I’ve added the link to this post.
I get tested every 3 months and just received my clean bill of health. Take care ladies!

planned parenthood also has an app or you can use their website and click on portal if you don't want someone seeing the app on your phone
most docs can send your labwork to any quest or labcorps of your choice even without needing a visit. I can just call my doc pay a $10 copay and ask to send the form over to quest BUT you do get the results in the mail unless you ask to come in for them. (i think its only because hes old school and doesnt do the app/portal thing) lol
Samedayhealth.com is another company that i looked up who also does house calls for things like IV drips, STD tests, Energy boost injections, muscle injections and more. and also nurx.com is one who takes insurance too
