Yup! Two of my properties have on-going construction and we are dealing with constant delays because our vendor has to submit change orders due to the pice increases and then have to wait an extra 3-4 weeks to receive supplies such as lumber, HVAC VAV boxes, even certain bolts and circuit breakers they need.
It makes sense, but it’s so terrible.

And the lumber price is ALMOST where it was before the pandemic.

Electrical Conduit up 3x what I paid in 2020, copper wire double yet copper prices are down. Like gasoline and oil.
My Wholesale house now less than Home Depot, Home Depot seems to react slower so their prices do not drop with the market. Home Depot probably won't either since many stores have empty wire shelves so there is no incentive to drop prices yet.
I have switch gear for jobs taking 6months, just had one ordered in January due in July then bumped to Late September then bumped to December.
I blame both parties, Trump signed the two bills Pelosi and McConnel to spend trillions and prop up the stock market. Then Biden, Pelosi and Harris added with the smaller and unnecessary third.
The FED led by Trumps appointee reacting nearly a year late to begin tightening.

The market is not what will drive prices down(that has never been the case), what will drive prices down are the high interest rates caused by the FED
Interests rates are around 7% right now and they will keep raising them until inflation drops that alone will bring prices down and other negative domino affects because of those high interest rates will also cause prices to drop significantly.
10 to 15 percent interest rates is a lot money on any investment(can see it getting that high do to abnormal inflation) people will stop spending leading to layoffs and the money will dry up quickly

ONLY IN CALIFORNIA.. I just traveled across states within the past week. Gas is 3 bucks in AZ, New Mex, Texas, Alabama and Flordia. Once I got to California everything went sky high, espically gas. When I left two weeks ago, the gas was 4.85 for 91 . Now it's 7 bucks for Regular gas. Its California, please believe me. To top it off San Diego pays the most that everyone in the US.
