Much ado about nothing!
The key term used here is "...at the time of introduction..."
When the vaccine was originally released the ONLY real objective was to keep people from dying and to reduce the load on the hospitals. Having said that, COVID is clearly a transmittable disease so it stands to reason that if you don't get COVID because you DID get the vaccine, it is less likely that you would pass it on to others. I say "less likely" because one could still pass it on by handling something where the virus is present (e.g. a shopping cart) then transmit the virus to another object (e.g., an avocado, checking for ripeness) that someone else might also pick up, not just through personal contact or close proximity to someone who is infected.
Over a million people have already died in the U.S. alone - and it ain't over yet! Anyone who says that COVID was a scam or a conspiracy is an absolute idiot! If you want to argue whether or not a "COVID Passport" was legal or even necessary, then that is fair game. The only thing that can really be debated, argued, or even commented on is each governments' handling of the COVID pandemic, not the deadly effects of COVID. It was, and still is, a killer!
I guess the EU has some legislators that are a little "out there" as well, just like the U.S. No doubt this EU legislator is in the opposing party and hoping to make a big deal out of it before the next elections. We should always take what ANY politician (from any country) says with a thousand grains of salt!

Vax DID NOT stop people from dying. Actually increased it. Florida just came about and said 84% increase in death rates of people from 18-39. Did you read that right....84% INCREASE.
So NO the vax has done MORE harm than any good.
The vax also stopped your body from producing natural antibodies....in 60% of people who took the jab. While 93% of people who did not take the jab produced natural antibodies. So yeah....the jab got people sick....and killed them.
Polio comes to mind as being transmissible. The Polio VACCINE ended it. Not this one. Covid drug is NOT a vaccine. Its a failed therapeutic. Ivermectin saved more lives. Look at Africa where only about 300,000 died from Covid with 3 BILLION on the continent. How? Was not getting the jab where 5% did get jabbed.
Well how then? IVERMECTIN. They were using it. So no this is NOT a vaccine. It failed.
Covid is NOT a killer. 80% of all deaths occurred in the elderly with 4 or more co mobilities. Not me saying this. The head if NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH...under the CDC said so. 50% of all deaths in NY & Michigan were elderly who when tested positive were FORCED to go back into their nursing homes. Calif....NJ....and Penn did the same thing.

Just because the vaccine was not tested against transmission does not mean it isn't capable of slowing transmission.
It has been acknowledged that being vaccinated will cause you to have a lower viral load if you catch covid than if you didn't get the vaccine.
A lower viral load is more likely to keep you out of the hospital and LESS likely to transmit it to another person.

As time passes and more studies are done on the vaccines, I would expect
there will be evidence that the vaccines in many cases was detrimental to your health.
Plenty of info about this can be found on the internet.
I remember reading on Yahoo comments that many of the people posted
that they had severe side effects from the vaccines and weren't planning
to get the booster.

The main problem with the 'revelation' is that all the countries that locked down used that excuse to segregate their populations - those that get the shot can go to restaurants, go shopping, go to the gym, issued 'vax' passports etc etc those that don't will have to remain in lock down because the vax prevents transmission. You can also throw in all those who's lives were ruined because they lost their jobs and livelihoods because of that lie.

There are two graphs in the chart below. The one on the left compares the triple-vaxxed to the unvaxxed, while the graph on the right compares the triple-vaxxed to the double-vaxxed.
Even worse for the boosted, it seems that those with three shots are at more risk of COVID-19 after five months than those who only got two shots (this is on the right side of the graph).
It gets worse with each jab.

Wow, I thought you had disappeared. I figured that maybe your poor decision making had caught up with you.
Here's a story for you:
A few of us in grad school were asked if we would talk to inner city grade schoolers to help them succeed in life. The specific goal was to encourage them to stay in school and to avoid joining gangs. When I spoke, I told them that their choice of friends was really important. Choosing those who were smarter than you, who focused on their grades, and who set higher goals for themselves would inevitably pull them up to their level. Conversely, those who are dumber than you, who aren't goal oriented, and who make stupid, dangerous decisions will pull them down to their level.
Similarly, most of you must know really smart people who seem to always make good decisions. They are the ones who don't have "accidents", who don't often regret the decisions they make, and who appear to be progressing in life much more successfully than others. You need to follow what those people do, because in all likelihood, they will influence you to make better decisions.
Flash, the sources you referenced are biased and are politically motivated. Follow them at your peril. If you know people who are clearly smarter than you, do what they do. I suspect most (if not all) of those people are vaccinated.

You are right, it is a respiratory disease, but one of the common modes of transmission is touching an infected surface then touching you eyes, nose, or mouth. Much like the flu or a cold, the emphasis is on washing your hands! There's not much you can do if you just happen to be standing close to an infected person when they cough or sneeze, but transmission through touch can happen hours after the infected person is already gone and miles away.
People thought that having church services was bad because all those people were in the same room and packed tightly together. What they failed to take into account was a practice that is common in almost every church - passing the offering plate. What a great way to spread a disease that can remain active on almost any surface for hours without a host! Hitchhiking; just waiting for that next unsuspecting person to come by and touch the same spot!

Based on the doctors that I know, Covid is primarily transmitted via respiratory droplets. It is difficult to contract Covid via infected surfaces. I am sure it is still possible, but unlikely.
In churches, you have a higher concentration of people all standing next to each other. One person who is infected sneezes or coughs can potentially infected dozens of people. That's why churches are problematic.

^^^ Again, you are essentially correct, except where do all those millions of droplets usually go after one coughs or sneezes? To all the flat surfaces within about a 4 ft. radius. Those droplets can remain "active" (as in alive) for a couple of days. Anybody who touches one of these surfaces then has the virus on their hands.
Question: how many times a day do you touch your eyes, your nose, or you mouth (even picking at something between your teeth)? That is how the virus is spread through direct physical transmission, just like the flu or a cold (or ebola).
Why do you suppose the emphasis was on washing your hands and avoiding touching surfaces like hand rails, shopping carts, money, and yes - collection plates? Surely all of that cautionary messaging wasn't yet another political ploy to get us to spend money on soap and hand sanitizers!
