I repeat...oil supply is not the problem. Its US refineries. We not producing enough gas for a variety of reasons that US oil bullshits us. They shut down refineries for "repair".

A good capitalist, knowing that government overreach, policies and regulations are going to kill their industry, will do everything they can to squeeze as much revenue to help offset their investments before they are pressured to scale back.
I would have slowed production to force the price up for as long as possible.
