He may have a "hunting accident" but I also recommend we refer to Sun Tzu and “Build your opponent a golden bridge to retreat across.” If we don't leave Putin an escape route so he can leave the battlefield with some honor it could get real bad real quick. Cornered rats are not rationale actors and it's rare for a logical plan to survive first contact with the enemy. No easy answers.

He has everything to gain by staying, and lots to loose by running.

The U.S. does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, why should anyone else? Did you know, that according the UN, 45% of all the people killed by US/NATO bombs in Afghanistan were children? You want to send some American drone operators to The Hauge?
The West started the war in Ukraine in 2014, and looked the other way while thousands of civilians were killed by indiscriminate shelling in the Donbas region by rogue elements of the Ukrainian government. Are we going to see any Azov Battalion members tried on war crimes?
This is not a one side good, one side bad war. It is far more nuanced, and you should probably look deeper into it than what the Military Industrial Complex funded corporate media is spoon feeding you.
