I’m pretty sure I read most guys think about sex roughly every 15 seconds. I know I do. I don’t think we are sex addicts. Our desires are simply the evolutionary expression of our genes, which has been sculpted by a few hundred thousand years of reproductive success. And success requires practice. So I’m not addicted, I’m practicing.

I got into that situation about 10 years ago only because my wife found out I was hobbying due to rookie mistakes.
Went to a counselor and my SO claimed i was an addict and needed recovery... I laughed and said "I only spend so and so $$'s per month to which is discretionary and all the Bill's are getting paid." much to her disgust.
That's when the counselor told her the cost of an Sex Addiction counseling program was on the order of $60k to $70k and not covered through standard health insurance.
I said "so what the hell should I spend money on darling?... $70k on a problem that only exists in your head or $300 from time to time?".

Of course. Ask the people who are addicted. When I'm "in the mood" or I see an ad by girl I really want to see, I go nuts and can't focus on anything else.
