I want to travel to San Diego for the first time. I'm not familiar with the are any recommendations of where I can stay and have lot of fun 😉

Mission Valley / Fashion Valley are central right next to route 8

Harbor Island has great views of the bay and Tom Ham's at one end and Level C restaurant at the other

Del Mar is a bit north and out of the way though the race track is there and Torrey pines

There is what's called the golden triangle bounded by 805 / 163 / 52
