Sending you lots of love J!

I am very sorry to hear. I lost my dog in 2019, and think about her everyday. This is truly one of the hardest things about owning a pet.
|
|
So sorry for your loss. Losing a pet isn’t any different than a friend or relative. The hardest thing I’ve ever done as well. He was lucky to have you as a mommy.
|

You start healing as soon as you get a puppy or a rescue.
Don't wait

had my dogs (sisters) since they were several weeks old. lost the first one (cancer) at 14.5 years old and the other one went through the same confusion of where her sister is. lost my last one who was a little over 16 years old about 5 months ago. it does get easier with time where you stop looking at the spot they would be but there isn't a day i don't think of them.
sorry.

Awwwww. Had to do the same myself recently. It sucks. And not in the good way.

I'm sorry for your loss. I think the hardest thing is to get over the fact that we had put our best friend to sleep. You already have other dogs they will make you feel better sooner.

Man I know how it feels. I was sad af when my dog died.

Sorry for your loss.
I remember losing a beautiful pure bred Golden Retriever that we had to put down. Lost a wonderful family dog.
Im not a big Country or LeeAnn Rimes fan but this song "How do I live" suddenly summed up the feelings around that loss.
How do I get through one night without you
If I had to live without you
What kinda life would that be
Oh I, I need you in my arms, need you to hold
You're my world, my heart, my soul
If you ever leave
Well, baby you would take away everything
Good in my life
And tell me now
How do I live without you?
I want to know
How do I breathe without you?
If you ever go
How do I ever, ever survive
How do I, how do I, oh how do I live

I’m so sorry to hear that sweetie. I had to do they same with my little boy after 12 years. This happened a couple of months ago I think about him everyday. I wish I had the words to make you feel better, but all I can do is empathize with you. Stay strong and me keep him close to your heart. ❤️

Damn. So sorry to hear about your loss and sorrow, Jay.
I think a lot of us can relate. Unconditional love is a rare thing. 5 years later, I still think about mine.
No one does dog songs like country music. Those are 2 great songs listed above.

So sorry for your loss Jayden. Just think of the good times together and that you cared deeply, took care of him and his needs for 14 healthy years. Hope this helps ease the pain.

Thank you all for the kind, thoughtful, encouraging words.I can’t wait to get his ashes back ❤️❤️ I think about him every sec of the day especially sitting at home 💔😢 he was my cuddle buddy and my only boy 💙🐾 he’s definitely going to be missed around here and I hope the healing process is fast. I made sure to tell him I loved him a million times and that it was ok to leave me,I could tell he was holding on for me. I just didn’t wanna see him suffer anymore then he had to and I couldn’t be selfish. It just sucks that it had to happen around the holidays and before Christmas 😢 since I got him around Christmas too. But I know he’s in a better place and he will forever have a special place in my heart….and eventually on my arm (to finish my sleeve)

I’m sorry for your loss. Your baby taught you so much about
Unconditional love and now taught you about death. My dachshund
Gave up after a very rich life of 20 years. He stopped eating when
He was done with life. It was the hardest thing I had to do when
I held him in my arms as he passed. We are way more humane helping
Our pets pass than we are with our seniors.
To answer your question, the hurt fades with time and you will start
Remembering the wonder of the moments you had with your little
Furball. Look at you pictures and videos and remember the good times.

Kind regards,

This may be teary eyed to read, but provides solace for the future....
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I believe all of our fur family members come back to us in one form or another before they take their final flight home.
This movie spoke to me the first time I saw it. Gotta get the book now.
Your lil guy will be with you always, trust me.

My pup died of parvo in 1985. It was a very painful experience. I never got another dog but now I live vicariously with my son's dog. I dog sit for a couple of weeks at a time when he travels. Usually after a couple of weeks I'm ready for her to go home. Problem is I love this dog too.
Here's a Google image of what she looks like.

I had to euthanize my sweet cat, earlier is year. 16 years of unconditional love and companionship.
