It's about 78 degrees in San Diego right now so I'm thinking that, depending on where they went, some of them as asking themselves right about now, "What in the hell did I do?"

You Dems do realize that California’s great weather and huge economy are directly or indirectly the result of GEOGRAPHY, right? If anything, Dem policies are designed to exploit and redistribute wealth, not create it. Much like Chavez did with the Venezuelan oil industry. So, no, you are not doing something right. And people are leaving in spite of the great weather. The Dem policies must really be causing misery for them to want to endure terrible weather elsewhere.

@Hyder, CA may be the world's 5th economy but has plenty of unfunded liabilities,
mainly the pension plan.
San Francisco is also in trouble They owe $750 million.

And you must all realize that it’s much easier to complain and hope for a miraculous change in California’s politics than it is to move elsewhere, right?
It’s kind of like all those Dem celebrities that claimed they were going to leave the country when GWB and Trump were elected. But they stayed. Only difference is, speaking for myself, I never actually declared that I will move. Certainly thought about it, though.

I dont think the founding fathers envisioned that if/when poor leadership came into power that people would have to move to pursue freedom and happiness.
In a Constitutional Republic we trust our elected leaders represent our interests.
When election integrity breaks down, society breaks down.

California itself is really perfect...what do we have to have the most fucked up morons at all levels of the government, all looking to punish us with laws, regulations, and unheard of levels of taxation? It's beautiful living here, why do we have to deal with so much to get it? It didn't used to be this way -- pay attention to the way you vote, people!!! No matter what they tell you, it's not all about racism and abortions. There's a lot more to life and happiness than that!!!!

Must be the "royal" we, cause I'm positive that the author of this post had nothing to do with this.
Germany took a big nosedive while CA crept up.
Maybe that little issue called a war had something to do with it?

Pretty easy to look good while you're leveraging up your population and not paying your bills.
Eventually, there's a price to pay..............mostly by those from the middle class on down.
Rising costs on everything leave the poor poorer and the most vulnerable..............homeless.
The Progs in CA need to own that part of it.
Not to mention that 90% of this supposed out-performance happens in Silicon Valley, which flows thru to the richest of the rich.
Not that I'm against that part, but it's nothing to brag about while CA also has the biggest homeless population and largest segment in poverty of any state.
