It would appear that we need a top-down review of how we handle classified materials in this country. All of these politicians are getting away with things that would send any of the rest of us to prison for years!

Respectfully Marissa, I don't think we need a review of how we handle classified info.
I'm sure the people on here besides myself that handle classified info can attest to there are plenty (perhaps too much even) rules on classified info.
We have plenty of PROCEDURES in place for classified info.
We have ample POLICIES in place for classified info.
What we MUST do a better job is PENALIZING those that do not follow the above two.
Whether it's H. Clinton
Sandy Berger
Donald Trump
Or Biden
They must be PROSECUTED.

First of all there is a difference between obstruction of justice and the Espionage Act which has a high threshold of criminal intent. Neither Trump nor Biden will meet that legal threshold for prosecution.
The FBI receives numberless reports of classified document misappropriation and almost all of them are resolved without prosecution. Which brings me to Fred.
I was a GS-15 federal employee for several years after my first postgrad degree and I have no idea what the fuck you are talking about. Classified documents were laying around our office like shitstains on the floor of a handicapped stall at Dennys. How else do you think Daniel Ellsberg walked out of Rand with the Pentagon Papers in his briefcase?
The problem is over classification, which everyone who has worked for the Fed knows is a problem. I read multiple classified documents with info in them which could be found with a simple Google search.
It is heartening to see so many conservatives outraged over classified documents being improperly stored. Finally. I wish such patriotic passion had been present when Trump was the culprit. But conservatives do not care about patriotism. They care about vitriol, opportunism, and Putins dick.
An apple is not an orange, cooperation is not obstruction, and a con artist is not a proven civil servant of 60 years.

Joe never should have had those documents outside of a secure setting .... that is all there is to it. There is no false equivalency here ... the act of the VP removing them from any secure place knowingly or not was at the very least just as bad or worse than the former president WITH THE CAVEAT he didn't have the ability to declassified them verbally or through ANY process. It is understood that the President can declassified (the argument has been that no one followed a process with Trump) but we all know at any time the President or supervising authority can make the decision to read in any person on classified information, But that does not allow that person to possess those docs outside of the secure facility.
I GIVE YOU AS AN EXAMPLE!!! GEN. PETRAEUS Firred as the Director of the CIA for mishandling classified docs. I'd say the Dir of the CIA should have been fired for his mishandling and that a VP should be help to that same standard. Take your arguments elsewhere ... you can say whatever you want neither Biden Nor Petraeus had the ability to declassify and the punishment should be consistent. Anything else would just be selective prosecution.... and that's exactly what we will get. Cus you people are like that.

There are MANY levels of clearance, to listen to Mr. GS15 you would think everyone wipes there ass with classified documents. Not the case, at least in my world.
I have only had the lower levels of clearance, and the investigators went back into my childhood to dig up shit. It was very surprising to hear from people, that they contacted...... and this was in the early days of the internet when record searching was manual.
Some people like brain dead biden are the most dangerous as they are convinced of their own moral superiority and cannot fathom that they actually do more harm than good.
In that kind of a world of internal moral supremacy where the ends justify the means is truly dangerous, more harmful than most any external threat.
