grooviefan is right... I mean after all the police held a press conference and said he did it and the police and media never get anything wrong.
And before you start in... no, I am not saying he did not do it, but of course I am also not saying he did. I'm one of those silly guys that believes in the Constitution and ALL its amendments, not just the ones that I like at the moment...
And groovie, in case you aren't following my second paragraph, check out the amendment five after the amendment that let's you voice your opinion. (If that was too challenging it would be the First and Sixth Amendments to United States Constitution)

I believe in due process however it certainly appears he is the one.
but could he pull this off on his own?
also - did he kill the dog as well?

I am a firm believer in "innocent until proven guilty." Unfortunately, the media wants to be the first ones to "prove" the guilt. And since most mainstream media companies are "for profit" organizations they will always try to sensationalize their reporting, which essentially gets the accused convicted in the court of public opinion long before the actual criminal trial begins.
Having said that, society has the right to permanently remove someone from the ranks via capital punishment if they so desire. If he is found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt then he should pay for it with his own life! I don't necessarily like taking another life via capital punishment, but there are some cases that make it appropriate. Distasteful, unsavory, immoral, and even considered sinful by a lot of people, but still appropriate.

SurfMonger is spot on.
I grew up and spent most of my life in places where there were two or more major newspaper
(what's a newspaper, I know)
Point is, even with small little local stories, there was a point in time where it was common for these stories to be portrayed differently one to the other. Very infrequently was the story the same, 'cause they had their own in house reporters, editors, owners etc., etc.
Fast forward to today with ownership of local media (print, radio, tv) being outside of market & owned not even on a regional level, but on a national scale, with local outlets stripped of gathering news & relying on corporate, or the AP.
Add into the mix the overwhelming amount of news "outlets" most with agendas & very apparent biases, it leads to the consumer not digesting different viewpoints on the same story, but taking in "confirmation bias" on just the ones that conform to their pre-existing beliefs.
Yeah, the media, in today's society is a hollow shell of what it once was.

almost seems like every story out there has a TEAM behind it, making sure they angle it to make the most of it for hot political issues

Hey Surf Monger,
I couldn't agree more. Didn't the media convict OJ way before the trial even started and we all know he was innocent. How how about George Zimmerman?. On a more serious note, Groovie Fan, nor the media, has sworn an oath to be an impartial juror so if they want to mouth off about the potential guilt of a suspect, who gives a fuck. Finally, I thought the prosecutor in Idaho was required by state law to release the affidavit supporting the arrest and I have no issue with the media aggressively reporting the evidence.

On the basis of the information put out by the media it would seem that Kohberger is guilty of these murders. However I will be happy to let his guilt or innocence be decided by a jury.
Once upon a time I was in the jury pool for a high profile case in Orange County somewhat similar to the McMartin trial in LA County. Before the jury selection process started the judge gave a little speech in which he stated that he had never seen a high profile case in which the press did not get at least one major fact wrong and if we were selected to the jury we would know the actual facts of the case.
Fortunately I was not selected to be on the jury for that case. It was one of four similar cases that the OC DA was prosecuting at that time. One case ended up in acquittal and the three other cases including mine ended without the defense having to put on a defense. In other words the judges(all former prosecutors) determined there was not enough evidence to convict the defendants of anything based upon the evidence presented by the prosecution and tossed the cases.

McMartin, what a cluster fuck that was. Preschool teachers accused of being devil worshiping pedophiles. Get this. They did all their nasty rituals in tunnels below the preschool. Sound familiar.?
A mother of one of the kids accused her husband and Ray Buckey of abusing their son, together.
They interviewed hundreds of kids with a very suggestive interview process and concluded that 360 kids were abused. Mass hysteria and really graphic bizarre accusations. People floating in mid air, secrete tunnels, satanic rituals, orgies. One kid identified chuck norris as one of the abusers. Nooo not chuck.!!!
The mother that made the allegations would eventually be diagnosed with acute paranoid schizophrenia and die of chronic alcoholism before the trial started.
A relative of mine testified that the interview techniques were "improper, coercive, directive, problematic and adult-directed in a way that forced the children to follow a rigid script."
Seven years later no convictions, all charges dropped.
Wayne Satz a reporter with channel 7 news was a big part of whipping up hysteria. He eventually marries one of the social workers that interviewed the kids..
