Samantha Cole on her new book Sx and the Internet

I just listened to a fascinating conversation that I feel people in this community might also find interesting. It was with Dan Savage and Samantha Cole on her new book How sex changed the internet and the internet changed sx: a history
I think it brings up an interesting, more nuanced take on p0rn consumption and opens up a beneficial dialogue. I just bought the book and am looking forward to reading and discussing it!

I listened to this convo on Dan Savages podcast Savage Love episode 847. You have to subscribe for the Magnum subscription to hear the guest speakers with no ads but its only 5$ a month and well worth it! ive been listening to it for years and I highly recommend!

Hope you are all having a happy sundayfunday!

Dan Savage wrote a column in the LA Weekly (might have had a different name) that was clearly ahead of its time in terms of writing about sex and dealing with homosexuality as a normal, mainstream topic. He did a lot for the LBGT community and he's still writing and broadcast.

Alya, you are gorgeous and I think I'd faint looking at your endless loop tat on your fine gludious maximas.

He was SO ahead of his time! And not just for the lgbt community but for sx positivity in general, for kinksters, for p0rn and others that work in the industry. His column was in the paper in my hometown and I’ve been reading it for a long time. I feel his influence has helped develop my overall comfortably and non judgmental view on human sexuality and to be an empathetic person and well as just a self-loving one fun! He advocates not just for the lgbt but for people in my industry as well. Big time fan here if ya can’t tell haha.

Anyway… thank you! I like to think of it as a portal to the divine 🙏💦💓
