Mike Pence had told CBS News that he didn't have classified documents. Although I don't like him, I don't think he lied. He just didn't know he had them. I also think that Biden probably didn't know he had them as well, likely packed up by his assistants who were careless.
Conversely, Trump actively hid and lied about giving back the documents over a long period of time. I don't think Trump is analogous to Biden and Pence's situation.
And to reiterate, I don't like Biden and I hope he doesn't run in 2024, but his situation with the classified documents isn't nearly as bad as Trump's. Biden voluntarily contacted the DOJ/FBI and told them through his attorneys that he had documents that needed to be retrieved, which is why the search of Biden's house was conducted by the FBI without a warrant.
An entirely different situation, but embarrassing nonetheless.

Maybe check out some other media sources. Trump repeatedly lied about having the documents and actively hid them. He also forced his attorney to certify the document list and she is now being investigated and has hired an attorney to defend her.

How anyone takes CNN seriously is beyond me. In 7 years they have been caught:
1. Copy pasting direct talking points from the Chinese Communist Party and pretending they were news.
2. Taking footage from video games and pretending it was actual war footage.
3. Made up multiple stories entirely out of thin, reported them as true, then sold books on those stories.

Do you know what it means to certify something is true? It means you have personal knowledge that that what you are attesting to is true. If she didn’t have personal knowledge, she should have known as an attorney not to sign the document. Which is why she now has her own attorney defending her.
If I were asked to sign something like that without personal knowledge, I would have written in “based on what I was told by ____________, there are no more classified documents at this location.” At which point the certification would be meaningless.

Trump lost the election. The only voter fraud was Trump trying to overturn a legitimate election. January 6 was a violent insurrection meant to overthrow the U.S. government. Trump is a criminal.

I don’t think that the government designates that letter as a classified document. The other documents that are marked classified is the focus of the government.
But the fact that he has a document that everyone knows about, which is not his property, and which he is keeping anyway, shows the attitude this guy has towards keeping things that he has no right to have.
Imagine if John Hancock was allowed to keep the Declaration of Independence because he liked how his signature looked on it. I know this example isn’t completely analogous, but these documents are the government’s property that is held by the government.

Bill Clinton kept a large number of recorded private and secret teleconference meetings with world leaders which is just another form of documentation.
There was a suite filed regarding this situation and the judge ruled that Clinton could keep it.
So with that precedent you cant turn around and say another ex President cant keep anything.

What's mildly amusing is the left's portrayal of January 6th as an "armed insurrection" or a "violent insurrection" which intended the overthrow of the government. It was actually the epitome of "a mostly peaceful protest."
A guy wrapped in a fur coat and wearing a helmet with horns, an unarmed guy putting his feet on Nancy Pelosi's desk, and a bunch of people walking up and down the halls of Congress carrying flags and singing God Bless America is hardly an insurrection. Those people felt that their representatives were not listening to them, they had tried to be heard, and petition their government for a redress of grievances. That's called a protest.
So yes, they stormed the halls of Congress for 90 minutes. They didn't tear down statues, they didn't set fires, they didn't shoot anyone. In fact, an unarmed protester was actually murdered by the police. Of course there was a mess after the protesters left, but nothing compared to the Democrat/Soros funded riots that lasted months, which preceded January 6th.
January 6th total dollar damage: $1.5 million.

If the left wants a REAL armed insurrection, keep up the bullshit.
