This is a bullshit message. They said they knew where my relatives lived and were going to go after them, except I don't have any living relatives. They show pics that are probably available on a Tor site somewhere. In my case I just ignored them. After 3 or 4 messages they finally quit sending them. That was over a year ago.

No one would say that they would be part of any service, and real threats would say something very personal that only you would know, instead of vague ambiguous terms.
Got a similar message 7-8 years ago, tracked it back to India.

A couple of years ago I got a text message saying that they had hacked my phone camera and had a recording of me masturbating, and if I didn't send them money to the link attached they were going to send the video to all my contacts. A couple of days later I got a follow up message saying they were not fucking around and I only had a couple of hours to comply. I didn't send anything and they never sent me anything else. A few months ago my friend was scared because he received the same text. He was planning on sending the money, I told him about my experience and he realized it was a scam.
Moral of the story, put your thumb on the front facing camera when you masturbate.

I've seen similar posts like this before.
Consensus is that it's a scam.
Me, I'm the guy that used to F with live telemarketers whenever possible, stringing them along and wasting their time. They always hang up on me and never call back. Haven't had one in years.
Point being, you can either ignore them or if I ever get one of those, call their bluff and tell them to come after me.
My hobby phone is paid in cash, minutes likewise - the NSA would be able to find me, but these guys are nothing better than the infamous 419 scam.

848 is a Jersey area code, so right there you should have known it's some looser trying to punk you. Hit them back with some humor and they will eventually go silent 🤫.
Should have asked him how he would like his payment: cash in pesos 'cause your now in Mexico, bit coin or a personal check. The personal check would be the best option as it would require an actual name to write the check. Don't opt for a blank check....lol.
Did you actually think that looser would actually take the time to look for anyone? NO!

I received a similar message but for me to pay to join an escort service. Be careful, people are very desperate for no days to get money. So they are trying every avenue to get it.

I got the same message last month but with pictures of a severed head and phone call after. They knew my name and address. I call the guy back and told he to bring body armor when he comes to my house. They never came and I traced a number back to Texas. They got my number after I WhatsApp an escort en Mexico.

I got one over the weekend but it was a phone call from a Sherrif's office in Texas. I called the number , got a recording, left a message. Then I got a call back from a "Sheriff Deputy" saying I had 3 warrants for signing then skipping out on jury duty. They did have my information and an address I used once and were going to stay on the line until I paid $2700 for the three to a bail bondsman otherwise they would issue the warrant and send the OC Sheriff's extradition team to get me. By this time I had the OC Sheriff on another phone listening. They said law enforcement doesn't call and that it was fraud. The caller hung up as I had OC on speaker. I have to admit for a minute I was believing them.
Dirty bastards. I'm wondering if they got my info from a breached T-Mobile account.
