I can't help but say it because it's true: If she had gotten a cold plasma tummy lift vs a tummy tuck there wouldn't have been a chance for infection.
I'm saying this so someone else can avoid this type of unnecessary problem.

That is true, but not all cases fall into that being an option 💙 everyone is different and for Lena she has been working out and eating healthy for the last 2 years so she needed something more then just cold therapy 💙 someone that just needs the cosmetic side and wants a little lipo and cold plasma therapy then that’s a great alternative yes!
I think girls should love themselves how they are, but at the end of the day it’s our choice what we choose to do to feel ourselves and more confident as a woman, and we have to face the risks of our choices as well.
Lena is a strong and independent woman and had a plan for even when this happened, but the loss of her regular job is what in the end has made us come to this.
Thanks everyone who has helped so far! We tryely appreciate it and Lena is so so so appreciative of all the love and support she has received so far!

Just out of curiosity... has she thought about legal action against the hospital? I have a friend who got a staph infection when he went it for a minor procedure and the hospital paid all medical bills...including from the 1st procedure AND settled for compensation because he was out of work for almost 2 months recovering. It all happened at Cedars so it wasn't some cutthroat community hospital or anything.
Maybe find a lawyer for her to consult with?

You are all so amazing. Words cannot even begin to express how grateful I am for all the help and kind words. I’m def not one to usually reach out for help or sympathy but it’s been really nice to know I’m not alone in all this it’s been really scary and stressful to say the least. Hindsight is always 20/20 and if I had it to do all over again I would def think twice about doing something like this. Lena is such a loving and caring person, I’ve seen her put so many people ahead of herself over the years I’ve known her and I know this time is hard for her to need so much help, and I know she doesn’t like to ask for it either! A little update for everyone!
I ask again if anyone is willing to help her out, she’s still got a little ways to go but definitely in the right direction and will be heading home!
Hello everyone! Just thought I would give everyone an update since we finally have some progress in the right direction!
Lena is finally gonna be heading home!! She is in her last day at the hospital now, and will be getting care from home from now on! Still looking like a few weeks of at home care but at least she will be in the comfort of her own home!
She had a drug resistant bacteria but the medical staff was well equipped to deal with the bacteria and as of right now it appears she has gotten rid of the bacteria! Yay!!
So what does that mean from now on? She will be on her wound vac for at least a few more weeks and have an at home care nurse come out once a day to make sure everything is moving in the right direction still, and soon she will be in her final stages of the recovery process and begin to try to get back to her normal life.
It’s been a little over a month since this whole process started and she’s overwhelmed with the kind messages and donations to help her stay afloat during this time. So thanks everyone.
We still have about another month of hard recovery days if everything goes to plan, so please if you can help in anyway now is a great time to show a little more support!
She is in the process of getting on disability or unemployment since her job was eliminated during this scary time, and we are unsure of when that will really kick in so it’s important to stay ahead on all her bills and such so she’s not drowning as soon as she gets approved.
Thanks again for all the love and support. Her and I both appreciate it so much more than you will ever know!

You’re better off trying to go the disability route. The employer has no say in whether or not you get it and it lasts forever or until a doctor states otherwise. Unemployment ends after 6 months if you get it at all. They’re basically the same amount.

Just a little update. I just left my surgeons office. After 5 weeks I am finally off the wound vac!!! Still have quite a bit of healing to do but things are looking up. Thanks again for all the well wishes and support. Can’t wait to get back I’m bored senseless sitting at home 💜
