2.86 / 1.67 = 1.7125

so unless my math is wrong this is 71 pct more expensive year of year in 2022.

I can say easily most things are about roughly 20 pct more expensive in the last year or so.

How can inflation be on 7pct?

^ That's good math and I agree that most shit is up easily 25% in the past year.

If the Deep State would stop the arson attacks on food processing plants and chicken farms maybe inflation could actually drop to a stellar low of 7%.

The funny thing was when the inflation rate leveled off about 6 months ago and Mr Potato Head Biden said inflation was ZERO...

But hey at least we dont have mean tweets from a President who called out the fake news for being fake...

They changed the formula from 2 year to 1 year. Lol. Same with the definition of recession. The white house press secretary said so. Lol.

@GB

Don't forget that it is a weighted average. Oil seems to be the main culprit right now, and the problems with Russia (and Ukraine) are the main driver of that. Take that out of the equation and inflation is probably at a reasonable rate. And don't forget - EVERYTHING that we consume in a tangible form requires oil to get to the end consumer.

Uber and Lyft drivers pay. Several others too.

Remember what you pay as a Rider, both U/L are keeping 55-60% Sometimes higher. And they say they are not making a profit ? Course as drivers know, they are the biggest Liars out there. Well accept Pfizer and the Deep State.

And as a driver, just when you think they can't possibly lower your pay, they find a way. Any trip over 12 miles drivers are losing. Hence I no longer accept any trip to LA or LAX. When I use love trips to LAX or SD.

If the pay cuts over the last 9 years were added into inflation up to now , what would inflation really be for an U/L driver ? This is why you constantly see new drivers and have problems with them.

Most likely this will be my last year. Thank god we get to write off all the Services Flees riders pay on our Schedule C.

Having had a commercial license I will always remember fuel costs.
Yes everything becomes truck freight.
I only relate to inflation by the missing dollars in my pocket.
The(CPI) inflation numbers are only smoke and mirrows.
All politicians love blowing smoke up the peasant's ass.
