Since I got so many pms about the last movie I recommended and blogged about I thought I might as well make another one. POOR THINGS.

This film deserves all the flowers it received and is one of best I have seen in a long time.

Besides it being a beautiful masterpiece ( the concept the script the set design the costume design the acting the cinematography ect.. ) it felt sentimental to me.

I used to go by the name Bella. That name was chosen for me , not by me. I thought it was basic and did not find it original or personal and grew to resent it.
Now here is this incredible character named Bella that I resonate with on so many levels.

There is one scene in particular when Emma Stones character has a conversation with Mark Ruffalos and says something along the lines of
I am a flawed and experimenting person.
I love that entire scene and dialogue so much I dont even have the words to articulate how much it meant to me.
I no longer resent the fact that I went by the name Bella.

Since Im talking about movie recommendations and Poor Things I might as well add that anything Jerrod Carmichael or Ramy Youssef is involved with is amazing.
I also recommend Ramy and On The Count Of Three both on Hulu.

Forgive my shotty grammar and lack of apostrophes in this blurb. it is easier to just not use them then deal with the weird coding stuff hx requires for blogging

I'm all for unique story and characters, at least something different than the multiverse, time travel, franchises, reboots.
I heard there's another Romeo & Juliet. I hope it's something like one of the lovers is a member of the opposing family who goes undercover to infiltrate the other family. This's add a layer of betrayal and espionage.
